Your Fantasy Group Line-up?

Post by futures_untold » Wed Jul 01, 2009 2:45 pm

If you could pluck any musician/producer/team member from any era to create your ultimate group, who would it consist of?

Remember this is fantasy, so it doesn't matter if they are dead, would normally hate each other (or some practical bullshit that would otherwise prevent them from producing/touring together blah blah)...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mine line-up sounds awful, but I'm certain it they would create the dopest tunes out there. My group would be an electronic bass act, doing bass heavy pieces at all tempos. Although some would argue they'd need live instruments, I would keep my act purely electronically produced (with the possible exception of session musicians for sampling duties).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Executive Producer(s} - Atari Teenage Riot (You know things are gunna be raw! haha)

Dizzy Rascal - Vocals

Liam Howlett - Synths
Future Sound of London - Pads
RZA - Samples/Strings/Brass
Slipknot - Guitars
King Tubby - Ear Candy/FX

Dillenja - Bass
Excision - Bass/Midrange Cack

Monster X - Drums
Ninjatron - Drums

Noisia & Evol Intent - Tea making & random duties as & when needed

Leftfield - Ambient/Tribal Remixes
Zeno - Dubstep Remixes

Riddim 'n' Bruise - DJing shows (guest djs like Noiz, Gunjack and Roni Size)

Label - Moving Shadow

Booya! :P:

I was thinking of these two for exactly the same roles! :)

For me though, Dre is to controlling and not raw enough for my sound.

Jean Michel Jarre on synths would be amazing! :)

I'm confused. Is this a rock band or a group of producers making seperate parts of a song. Coz most of them would sound like utter shite. :o
Feedback wanted.

It is whatever you want it to be.

Personally, each member of my group would bring the thing they do well or their signature style to the table when producing a track/performing etc.

So you could John Lennon doing song writing for Youssou N'Dour with Shakira on backing vocals/arse shaking duties.... etc...

This thread ain't really meant to be serious. I'm just interested in finding out who people would bring together to create their dream album. Nevermind the realities of music production, this is a fantasy group making any music you like in any way you like!

If a group or producer has a sound or style you like, drop 'em in your line up! :)
