Does anyone have a job for me?

Post by futures_untold » Thu Jul 02, 2009 8:13 pm

Hello DSF!

I'm currently seeking work within the music & creative industries.

My strongest points are graphic design and music production. I am qualified as a youth worker and have led many workshops focussed upon music, graphics, photography and video production.

Separately, I have bar work and street team experience.

I will consider all positions seriously and I am willing to relocate for work. If you have or know of any available work related to the creative industries, please feel free to PM me wth details and we can take it from there..! :)

Thanks!

Patrick

Interesting, although I feel your particular proposition is to small to explore... ;)

Why not hire me to work for Chronic Records in a proper capacity? If you have any forthcoming releases, I can certainly help develop your marketing strategy and any related marketing materials.

It can be said that those who don't ask shall not recieve! :) (Although life is usually not that simple...)

I have nothing to lose and everything to gain by posting my offer/request here, especially as any work that could come from this would be inherently interesting to me.

I know Chronic Records wasn't being serious, but neither was the first line of my response.... ;)

I haven't been unemployed long enough to be on New Deal, nor do I intend to be! :)

You have a valid point, which is partly what has driven me to make this post. I'm simply putting things out there on the off chance that something comes from it. I currently do freelance graphics, but who knows what else is available or may turn up?!! :)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I went to Paris in October looking for work. I sent my CV to loads of employers an spec and got a job through that.

I also really struggled to find accommodation whilst I was there, so I decided to blanket email all the members of a particular Parisian Couchsurfing group. Amazingly, someone invited me to stay in their spare room. they kindly allowed me to live rent free for seven weeks! If I hadn't have asked, they wouldn't have been so kind and generous. :)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have plenty of my own projects building up, but I still need to find some form of employment to help cover the rent etc. Instead of only searching the jobs ads, why not post my availability too?

Thanks for all those who have taken interest so far! Examples of my graphics and photography upon request (& in the pics section of my Myspace profile linked in my forum signature) :)
