How old are your ears?

Post by mawltea » Thu Jul 02, 2009 9:10 pm

Check this test out;

http://www.ultrasonic-ringtones.com/

Basically test how well your ear can pick up high-frequency sounds. The highest I could hear was the 17,7 khz one, which fits, since I'm 25.

Could hear up to 17,7 kHz and I'm 16. So seems like my hearing is a bit more damaged than the guy above me but care.

I can hear up to 19.9Khz

and I'm just turning 20.

I'm surprised. I didn't think that was even possible at my age and I really don't look after my hearing at all, I mean I go to see harsh noise dudes play live, and that shit kills your ears.

Uhh. Yeah, anyone saying they're hearing 21.1

I'm not so sure you're actually hearing that.

The general opinion is that Humans can't hear it over 20KHz.

Yeah, that's the word. I certainly can't hear the last one, but 21.1KHz I could definitely hear. Not sure if it was a byproduct of the recording or something, but I was hearing something.

Most importantly, why the fuck would you want to listen to raw high frequencies? Sounds horrible.
