Neil Landstrumm Bambaataa Eats his Breakfast

Post by thomasplanetmu » Mon Jul 27, 2009 2:15 pm

24th August ZIQ246 Neil Landstrumm - Bambaataa Eats His Breakfast CD/LP/MP3

Neil’s back on it again, with an album that Simon Reynolds recently described as ‘It's like Neil Landstrumm decided to enter the race to produce the Debut Zomby Album and has actually beaten Zomby to the finishing line’. There is more to his style than this of course; two tracks feature the mcing of ‘Profisee' lending words of wisdom through skilled verses. All of the music here have a charming brickabrac melodic 8 bit style running through them which gets under your skin in a very enjoyable way.

what is a simon reynolds? why has he decided that this is a debut album race with zomby?

neil has a few albums out already plus a stack of eps and singles -

pro audio - 1998 - a personal favorite

Man has such a unique style. £20 to go home is still possibly my favourite dubstep tune ever

Landstrumm is a dude and yep, a brutally good DJ.

Love this album. Not as good as Lord For £39, but then Lord is easily one of my top 5 favourite albums of the last decade.

Hate to disagree with Reynolds yet again, but the Zomby comparison is just "WHAT??". Landstrumm's sound is his own, it's the same raw analogue noise he's been rocking since '95!
