***Dubstepforum.com Awards Nominations 2006***
It's Dubstep Awards time!
I think we can all agree it's been a monumental year for dubstep. 2006 has seen the sound gain in popularity, stature and quality. This is the chance to vote for your favourites; those artists and moments which have meant the most to you this year.
Nominations open today, November 1st and will run through until December 1st. During December votes will be cast and the winners will be announced early in January.
All this depends on participation so please let's see as many people getting involved as possible.
If a category does not receive enough nominations then it will be dropped from the awards to it is important you makes yours known even if they've been added to the list already.
This should reflect the true feelings of the dubstep community.
RULES:
You can nominate as many times as you like in each category but repeat votes from the same individual will only be counted once.
Once nominations have been closed the most popular will go through to the shortlist from which you can vote for your favourite.

hang tight boomnoise for all the hard work
big up to you boomnoise this is bare fun. it'll also be very interesting to see where things lie at the moment
one thing that i think needs clarification though is how the shortlist will be selected from the nominations...
i.e. if i see the name i would nominate already in the list, is there any point in me restating it?

the shortlist will be formed from the number of responses. the more nominations the better the chance of something going forward. if there isn't a set number of nominations then the award will not be voted upon.elgato wrote:one thing that i think needs clarification though is how the shortlist will be selected from the nominations...

you should nominate even if the name already appears.
This nominations process is just as much a chance to discuss the year's highlights as it is to nominate. The idea is that we won't end up with every conceivable ting on the list, whilst not missing anything / anyone that people feel really desrve recognition.brklss wrote:Why not making polls instead of having hundreds of things to add together? Makes more work for the first post but less in the end.
