Was never really a fan, I know tunes like Jahova and SNES Dub mean a lot to people and they were allright at the time but they were never anything that great.
I saw a bit of Rusko at Glade this year and it was really quite bad, which was a shame because I heard he was really good live.. he just played so much cheese, I don't understand how anyone could even create those kind of tunes. Fair play to him though, he's getting his p's innit.

because people hate putting out the same shit over and over. example: burial/fourtet splitAlphacat wrote:Happens all the time in lots of genres. Look at Photek from 2000 onwards. How could somebody who made such definitive tunes turn around and make the Solaris album?
if they are doing what they want to do, there's nothing you can do but ignore it and move on.
i don't see how bad tunes can bother you when you are going out looking for them...
now if its a bad dj playing shit tunes every night...find a new place to go.

It's just a horrible low sample rate sound playing random notes. Fucking hell it's horrible.J-sh wrote:yeh i hadnt checked his tracks in a while, but popped on the myspace when i saw this thread and the tunes are really bad. Like weirdly so, i think the hypes gettin to him.
listen to 'paper bag' on his myspace
Sure - I have absolutely no issue with growth, artistic progression, change - that's all fine. But when you see the underlying quality just kind of dry up and evaporate, it's sad... like losing a friend sort of.because people hate putting out the same shit over and over. example: burial/fourtet split

Because (and this is only IMHO) it's one thing to explore new flavors and all that and quite another to just kind of sit back and rest on your laurels and believe it when peeps tell you "you can do no wrong!" so you sort of wank out some new tunes, think they'll be received as well as the earlier stuff, and act surprised when nobody buys it: it's like getting used to a brand of something only to have the quality disappear overnight, leaving you feeling ripped off.
But you're right when you say there's nothing to do but move on. Thankfully there's a lot more good new stuff out there in all styles if you just look hard enough.
