Thanks for sharing, love the track!hirszu wrote: Great mix! Shared it with my friends and they loved it.
I was listening to Pinch today and I personally would add this track to the list:
too obvious, you aint fooling anyone mateDjDarkdrvgz_EDM wrote:Great read lots of cool stuff. Im more into that true dubstep stuff (Rusko/Figure/Funtcase) but theres a lot of cool stuff in here. What do you guys call that like slower darker style im seeing throughout. Is that still considered dubstep or just newer producers? I feel like its more boring and it doesn't change as much. I know when im up and running in my studio here at home im going to be making more of that underground hard/fast Figure type stuff. Not going to be doing much skrillex stuff (im a bit more underground i find).

I agree with this statement 100%. It's one thing to like what you like but assuming your taste is law is arrogant and hipsterish.Ficticious wrote:just throwing it out there that Dubstep Originates from 2-step garage and Dub. Of course the majority whose been into Dubstep for a long time would already know this. On my part, I just learned so not too long ago
So simply, if you're having trouble realizing what your song should go under, or if you can call it Dubstep, honestly though who cares as long as it sounds good. Refer to Dub and 2-Step Garage songs. See if your song matches up with similarities in pieces.
May I also remind you bro-step is technically a sub genre of Dubstep. But got classified as Dubstep.
And may I also throw out there that there is a difference between mainstream (Well produced sounding music but using super-similar synths and good creative music (underground/Community wise etc. etc. etc.). But that's my opinion. Personally I actually enjoy ALL genres from trance to deep dub to brostep, I know right the F is wrong with me not having a sense of direction![]()
