Almost everything is getting fixed in a new update...and was it pattern gaps on the electribe 2? I thought it was insert FX tails getting cut off when switching patterns?

It does sound good. I haven't had much of a chance to play with it yet. It is pretty intuitive to navigate. I do have to say I was immediately struck by how limited the sound shaping options are (I have never used an EA 1 or EMX so I don't know how it compares). I had an ESX...and I get wanting to resample, but can't lol...

The drums are pretty nice. Lots of oscillator options. Filters are surprisingly good. So far my favorite is the MS20. The no song mode doesn't bother me in the slightest, I always thought song mode was a PITA. I'd much rather have the pattern sets/pattern launching performance mode the E2 has. As far as I can tell the signal is CLEAN...and everything sounds digital in a good way...like...that King Korg engine is super fucking legit.

Also can tell this is going to become the nerve center for a hardware jam setup. Demo vids forthcoming...

I thought about bringing it to the store today...lol. Decided against it.

Some additional thoughts--when I first bought it I thought I'd use it mostly as a sketch pad--record the MIDI patterns into FL Studio and replace the sounds if need be. Also, thought it might make an interest drum synth beyond the samples. I can see that I'm going to be spending many after noons off in the garage with the electribe, my thrift store sound system and a cooler full of tasty adult beverages.

This thing is just fucking fun. It doesn't even let you make deep, complex sound design or mixing decisions. I'll be adding the sampler assuming all promises about fixing issues are kept. For all the heads: many of the filter modulations and other FX are clearly made for twisted basslines and midrange.

Fun is where it is at, depth is dangerous, can drown.

The E sampler is going to be 48khz only. Come on man, aint nobody working in 48khz.
