Native Instruments Stems format

still no technical specs out there but they're now doing a format using mp4 as a container where you can have 4 separate tracks, which, you guessed it, can be controlled individually if youre using software like traktor to mix
think it'll be interesting to see where it goes. besides the djing implications, you'll be seeing tunes released in this format getting remixed by everyone and their mom

So all the kids with controllers can fuck with a perfectly alright finished piece of music someone wrote and ruin it even worse than what people already do with all the stupid looping and shit you see in tech demo videos at the moment.

It's one of those things too that if you spent 5-10 minutes reading about on Wikipedia or where the fuck ever you'd be able to understand.

TBH, its been like this a long time. DJ'ing was one of the best ways for producers to get out there and get gigs. But I seriously have seen so many shows where producers were so obviously not DJ's.
