What is the best software to make dubstep?
What is the best software to rewire?
What is the best vst to make wobble?
What is the best to sample pack for making dubstep?
What is the best synth for making filthy basslines?

Summary = I'm a lazy tnuc that can't be fucked to do my own research and i have know imagination at all. I like to get things the easy way and would like a one way ticket to success so i can sleep with many girlings. I would also like to be a superstar DJ. if you've got money problems go for reaper or renoise.... both as feature filled as cubase whatnot but can get em for under £60 i think.

and don't talk about cracking software, if you 'need' to do it, fine. but don't discuss it here. don't want this place to become home to warez types with virus fille links and shit.

as your using reason have you tried thor? people i know have made siiiiick bass lines on that thing (cookiemonsta etc). Buying new software won't make you any better at production, get the stuff you need, and learn that shit inside out

@Shekul: yeah, most are just looking for everything to be handed to them, an easy way out

but since i HAVE to be a dick, as skywalker claims, i'm going to argue that in all fairness, live could be the "best" program if you're looking for more of a live jam-based approach, renoise could be the "best" if you're looking for a modern day tracker/daw, reason could be the "best" if you want an all-in-one self contained program, and fruity loops could be the "best" if you're looking for a program with an adorable, animateable, dancing fairy as it's mascot  (i kid)

no worries man. all newcomers who break the rules get similar treatment, and it's (usually) in jest.

there's an ableton Q & A thread on here, so if you have any questions about getting to grips with the program, that's a good place to start. or just shoot me a pm and i'll help you sort it out.

peace

Use Ableton's fxs for a Logic audio track

Post by Candra » Sun Sep 19, 2010 1:42 am

Does anyone knows if its possible to use Ableton's fxs for a logic audio track in rewire mode?
In other words, rout a logic channel to ableton?
Thanks

@ the original poster...

Discussing illegal software here will earn yourself a ban.

also...

flexing your cracking ability muscles here is pretty lame.

Reapers a good shout if you just want to learn and dont have big bucks to spend. Rewires well easily. I started on reason too, stopped using altogether but now ive started rewiring it into reaper just to use the thor! Its an absolute beast, forget albino and massive!
