I keep coming across this symbolism stuff on random forums, and I've got to be honest, it does intrigue me. I'm still a bit confused as to why/if there is a purpose to it, but I actually find it quite interesting.
I mean, to a lot of people, symbolism means more than it does to some than it does to, say, us modern cynical internet folk, but I reckon it has an effect on most of us. A truly devout priest or christian has a lot of vested emotion and faith in the symbol of the cross, and to a lesser extent, that fish thing.
Lots of people pay ridiculous amounts of money for clothes, cars, perfume, food etc, just because they come with certain symbols on them, like the Nike tick or the Adidas thingy. And everyone know that the freemasons cream themselves wen it comes to symbolism, more so than most, it would seem.
So if they are up to something like that, then, well, maybe they're trying to tell us something. Or it's like a test, see how many people actually notice this stuff.
Or maybe it turns out that they're a bunch of self-righteous cocks who've convinced themselves that they're 'enlightened' about something, and they patting themselves on the backs about it, whilst simultaneously rubbing it in our faces, but in a secretive way, because that's how they roll. They're supposed to be an 'exclusive' society, all brothehood fraternity 'what happens with the boys, stays with the boys' shit and that.
Oh, and what's all this stuff about reducing letters to numbers? I see it all the time when talk of this rises (inevetably on forums), and it's on that video you showed, where ADM = 144? How are they working that out?
_________
Edit: Oh, just watched it again and they show that little table with letters refernced to numbers.
Is there a name for that?

you don't understand, movies are a sort of text messages and this is how they set up meetings or send out orders, they're too many to use phones, think just of how many set decorators are in hollywood and it's enough. if you add the directors and the writers...
if you dig enough you'll see all masons are big movie fans and they all have huge collection of dvd's with all their works, it's like a document archive...
you people are sooo blind

you can perceive structure in everything if you want, like seeing the shape of something in clouds. You can read anything into anything, doesn't mean it has any significance.

exactly, 5 mins in a CAD program and you'll see symmetry resulting from any intersection in geometric shapes.

I love symbolism...
But symbolism in mainstream Hollywood movies = Robocop walking on a puddle (jesus walking across water) or a lead protaganist dying with arms outstretched (jesus on the cross)
This thread is interesting but man is smoking too much green looking for shapes in set design and wardrobe and investing meaning in it.

ps. It will send you bonkers if you look for symbols like this everywhere but then again maybe that's what
they want
