Maybe he'll want his MPD painted after he sees the results I get. I'll do your Maschine too. Fire engine red, lime green, and dark tan?
Forreal though you could trick your shit out in a nice color scheme that fits with a fatpad set. I'll let you know how mine feel to me once they get here. It'll probably be a week still.
For making color palettes, you can go to wallbase and find a photo you like. It has swatches in the sidebar corresponding to the dominant colors in the image.
I grabbed a large image of an MPK off google images and threw it into photoshop. There was a perfectly head-on one from sweetwater or something so it was ideal for a design template. I masked out the pads and knobs n shit. Gonna sketch out the design soon and make sure it fits with the controls' layout. Then figure out what order all the layers will have to go down in and create the stencils for each piece.
