fookin ell !!!
my ISP shits itself for a day and alf ... I just saw the contributors list ...
... there is enough for a dubstep-forum CD pack !!!
I wish I could finish a track

and contribute, maybe I can in other ways tho ...
I think there could be enough there for at least a bunch of on-line mixtapes ... to begin with anyways.

Once a track listing has been finalised the producers can upload/send only the tracks that are going to be used in high quality.
i agree!
that's what i thought too

I reckon a download mix is the best way to start with, we should sell on Bleep, Karma etc.
Who could mix it? I reckon N-Type would be a good choice.

good idea, N-Type would be great (if he wants do do it)
and yes, a download mix would be the most suitable imo

Right, so this thing is running.
How are we going to decide on the tracks? I'd say we need about 20 tunes.

public vote on the forum?

Difficult for everyone to hear everything. I say there should be a panel, maybe elected on the forum. Then they can listen to EVERYTHING and select the best tunes.

definitelly, we can't vote the tunes on the forum - cos what's the point and who will buy the mix if everyone could listen to every tune (+ more) before

that's my preposition too
suggested selectors:
1. n-type - cos he will mix it
2. paul rose - cos he's doing it every day
3. me - if you don't mind

Yes, this makes sense. Also, some folk will always have probs trying to hear stuff off the net. Oh, and some people might vote for themselves lots of times. Not that I don't trust you guys, but...
More to the point, its a bit pointless having a dj to mix it if they aren't gonna have any real say in what their playing, n'est pas?
Might as well mix it bloody protools or whatever if your gonna do that.
I also second the notion for putting up mp3s, in whatever form, first, then giving wavs as/when they are needed, cos this is gonna save a lot of up/downloading time, and space and al that. Especially if theres going to be hunners of folk involved, which looks increasingly likely.
My cents.

i assume that if someone is interested in contributing he would say so in this thread like everyone else did..
i have no attention to force anybody to do anything..
everyone who thinks he can rise the quality of this mix is welcome

btw, as everyone involved in this project will volunteer, and we will probably sell mix on bleep, karma etc. - we will make some money..
question is: how should we spend it?
it should be stimulative for producers and for ppl to buy the mix.. something for whole dubstep community..
my idea was to release 3 best tracks from mix on 12" but we probably won't have enough money to do it
any suggestions???
