I can't make tracks high. I get too confused when trying to operate the software. I often smoke after i've been producing though to recap on the track i've made. It makes me feel like I hear from the perspective of someone who is hearing it for the first time rather then from the person who made it

Yeah, I alwys just end up monged EQing and adding effects to the same drum sample for 20 minutes rather than doing something productive haha.
I'm lusting after some hardware!

Sometimes I get really high and it'll help me overcome writer's block, but I can't smoke a lot and then sit down and do sound design or summat.

no we have really loose medical marijuana laws and I guess now we are kind of at the forefront of the medical marijuana movement it is basically daily news in the newspaper now, and i have friends that are self employed as "caregivers." man do they grow some chronic ganja!

I haven't been messing with production for very long, but I definitely work better toasted. I can do everything just fine sober, but when I'm high I'm a lot pickier about sound quality and samples and I can really focus on shaping each sound just right, even if it takes FOREVER.

i used to be horrible with listening to music stoned. It'd be like, "i can only listen to *this* song if i'm blazed", but when you get like that it destroys whatever it is that lets you notice the subtleties of a tune, same with producing (for me at least)

The thing i like most about smoking was how many tunes i tried to make, so when i went through them all there's was tunes and parts i forgot all about.

Weed and music go together like any analogy you can throw out there. Making music can be difficult if you start relying on weed to carry you, but it could be really helpful if you stay in control of your creativity. Also you got to give it a rest when you hit your limit. I reach a point where i have to listen to someone's (way better) music or watch some cartoons or something, nothings worse than trying to force yourself to do something when your energy is spent (physical or mental)

also consider your intake vs. output of information. you might be getting stressed simply from trying to put so much effort into your music

it's like Joe Rogan said "people are like 'ughhh pot makes you a loser and pot makes you lazy', no, you're a loser, and you're lazy, and if you smoke pot you're a pot smoking lazy loser"

I imagine from the description of this "FRUIT OF THE GODS" you could be very productive!

As such it is very functional and easy to maintain even during a period of work or socializing. As soon as the buzz reaches your head, it creates a momentum to get things done, and motivate with friends or focus on a project.

Never come across that strain but by the sounds of it..

I don't smoke regularly, cause when I do I get destroyed (might be the BC bud). I feel like I'm on a low level acid trip, without the focus and control.

If it helps you I'm all for the occasional "inspiration booster" or even just a change of perspective. I like to get high on LSD or Shrooms and listen to mostly finished tracks to get some crazy ideas or to shift my thinking. But I would never work on a track start to finish while I'm high.

And if you feel like you need any drug to function in anything, producing or otherwise, then you have a problem.
