Big up to them I suppose.
this

it's up to DJs/fans not to support music they like and with any luck labels won't want to put it out. hating on it is going to get you nowhere
Exactly. Quality control doesn't begin at the cutting studio, it begins with a dj's selection. If we moaned about every terrible record ever released we'd be talking for ever!

Its not even getting mastered til tomorrow. We did two mixdowns for the track, one for vinyl and one for digital. The one youre hearing is the vinyl version exactly as it was when it left our hands... barring the low quality of the stream.

That's ok, streaming quality is the way the tunes were meant to be heard.

to be fair its the better of the 2 remixes, and not the worst thing BBK has put out over the years.

I'd imagine the attention they got from their youtube shit has presented them opportunities not afforded most up and coming producers.

Don't hate the player, just hate the game homie.

Tho there is some kinda weirdness their first vinyl is on BBK.

This. I'm pretty sure there's not a single good release on that label.
inb4 "Brookes Brothers are good". They're not.

From DJ Freshes Fb

'DJ FRESH BAD COMPANY lol, whats wrong with mt.eden, i think theyre really talented, trying to give em a leg up!!'

I think this makes Fresh not a tnuc tbh, hes trying to help out producers getting them known and a few releases under there belt etc

Its still however not the right thing to do

Just looked up BBK on Discogs to remind myself of what they've released.

There's so much shite on there. Suprised by how many bad records they put out.

well now that I've had some time to put it all in perspective :

Mt Eden getting cut on a 'big' label :
Big Up EMTEE Eden (dubstep) : your millions of views on youtube seem to have paid off. You got a release signed and might make a buck out of it. It's a mediocre release (at best) in a sea of mediocreness, but as we all know : that never counted for shit in the game

BBK :
I liked bad company

Fresh :
If anyone has heard any of the 'dubstep' tunes/remixes fresh has been churning out recently, this really comes as no surprise. They are absolutely shit. Really fucking horrible, but yeah stick the name 'fresh' on it and... you catch my drift. I actually prefer Mt eden's remix of Archangel, than some of Fresh's tunes. Man has no taste in this area, period.

So we'll see how it goes from here, in the end it's not fair to some highly talented producers out there, but that's life.

Ignore this release.
