Mostly the already mentioned Kjaerhus Classic series
apart from that I use the Cubase built in ones a lot like quadrafuzz and the cubase reverbs etc.
for synths and sounds the usual ones Albino / Sylenth / Blue

I haven't been doing a lot of remixes really, done a few bootlegs but thats more like something to be able to play certain tunes in a dubstep set.
When I make a remix or bootleg I guess the thing i keep in mind is how i want those sounds to be in one of my own tunes or what could I do with those samples to make something different with keeping the vibes of the original. Like that DFRNT tune, when I get something with a bit more minimal percussion vibes I try to add some straight/smacking drums to see how that sounds and go on from there
