I don't like watching gory movies. I have never watched gore films or snuff or execution films, nor do I intend to ever watch any. In fact, I'd never even heard of that hammer thing before this forum.
However, I am and have always had a morbid curiousity about the point of death. As in what happens? What is the exact dividing point where a person ceases to exist? Does the mental make-up (or soul in some circles) undergo the same vanishing when one passes into death peacefully in sleep, through long illness or through trauma? One of the most sudden, and unexpected, ways of dying (to my mind) is through brain aneurisms where it literally can be just seconds. What happens there? How is it different from being killed in an accident?
Does that immediately make me a bad person with troubling inclinations? Or do I only gain that distinction (like crackf apparently has) after I've watched some of this stuff? I neither condone nor think badly of crackf for watching this stuff. I'm sure most people on this forum may have done something or other that's morally ambiguous at some point or other. So until crackf actually goes out and starts doing bad things to other people, it seems a bit harsh to lay judgement on him.

Oh well it's what the world deserves for making the general idol little more than 'an actor'. (Can't phrase this quite correctly, but think about the HUGE implication of 'the rise of acting' and idolising actors. The brain gets a wrinkle everytime you learn a celebrity's name aye)
But don't quite aggree, was curious about horror films even before I was 10 etc, wanting to watch Robocop and stuff. No way as a kid was it to do with the killing n stuff, was just more entertaining. Also as a kid things like ninja turtles etc seemed a bit dump, having katanas and just slapping with the flat side gave a naive impression of responsability (also lead to my bro losing a tooth through a nunchaku party haha)
wolf - aye them books well worth checking out! Is two of them, see if you can get them in a bundle pack
crakf- I wasn't on about the films, re-read original, I was on about recieving the tales from my old aquaintance and the three (gangland) murders he'd comitted. Was a foul situation to be in sat around listening to him going on about it, I lightly accused you (in my stupidly lame humoured method) that you'd be "all ears" to him like a sickening fan boy rather than thinking "fucking hell, what fucking planet is this tool on" ya get me? Hope that's cleared that up

If you're with people and they go "Hey, watch this", you can always leave the room, say no or shut your eyes. You choose to stay and watch it.
i get you, i watched it, i already said i have a strange morbid fascination in stuff like this, and also as i said, like most of those reaction videos of people watching 2 girls 1 cup watch it, not walk out of the room.
maybe its a test of how much you can take, i dont know, the hole im trying to dig myself out of is the point that i dont have any interest in killing someone myself, it seems that some views are that if you watch it, you are the sort of person who would do it themselves
pooing on each other isnt illegal but i doubt most of the people who watched 2 girls 1 cup the way through have had urges to recreate this
(yes i know alot of people do, but my point is not
everyone does)

@blah
They are for you. Tons of people watch horror films for the gore and the twisted side of it. Tons of people watch films like that on their own. I doubt many people went to watch something like Saw or The Human Centipede for the bits inbetween. (Maybe for the centipede lololol)
Yeah, but when I watch them I'm enjoying the creativity of the film. I just happen to enjoy horror specifically. Got no relation to real life. Real suffering isn't entertaining
I really hate the idea people have of you if you're into horror properly. (I don't help matters by wearing a Texas chainsaw massacre t shirt often when I'm out though.)
Everything has something to do with real life. Every decision or thought or choice is based around it.
I enjoy horror too btw.
Yeah, real suffering isn't entertainment. That's why people watch films with suffering depicted. It's what I was saying before about stuff seemingly being made so people can get as close as possible to doing things they know they shouldn't do in real life.
A lot of people have to get those feelings out in some way, be it books, films, music, video games or whatever.

Nah. If you watch it you are the sort of person who wants to see it, but probably wouldn't do it.
It's similar to the thing that people say about being able to kill meat, if you want to eat it. It's now possible for people to see all this stuff, without the middleman of having to do it.

also, saw is shwag
the first one was good, a good storyline+ idea, the whole doomed from the start thing i was quite impressed by
it just got shit after a while, couldnt keep up with the story it just seemed they had a load of torture ideas they wanted to put across to the public...
but then again, when saw 3 (i think it was 3) came out, one of the things they promoted the film with was the fact that people fainted in th screenings, in my opinion the aim to terrify/shock/disgust in a movie is the same aim people who create snuff movies are going for?

So many examples to be dug out on here, one for example the guy saying about 'Daniel Pearl' etc - FFS that's one of the most blindingly obvious examples of generating a horrific event for recieving the attention my original point suggested, which you still can't comprehend. It's a US journalist FFS, a mere pawn in the games and something that wouldn't of happened if they thoguht 'no one is gunna watch this'; Classic examples are ALL the 'terrorist beheadings' across the ages - ffs the film crew should be enough of a clue that it demands an auidence. REPEAT - you're simply not getting the point and your attempts at justification show this. Furthermore you try to expand 'snuff' to 'violent acts/death caught on film - it is not the same)
Badman Juice quit being a spoon, is foolish to keep trying to push the wrong buttons to get a response. Far as I care you're just a nerdy little internet kid into rap, wannabe tuff man, so mimic your heroes and practice spouting that glass jaw til the day it gets broken
As for the Darlington guy who's on about watching it for the LOLs you're an obese disgrace. Maybe I'll stalk you on facebook then invite myself to your family member's funerals if death is such a party at your mentality. Can do this neat trick where you pull a corpse's hair and make it look like they're miming to the music so make sure it's an open coffin funeral aye

.
Also something you stools overlooked - I didn't say the material nor the watching of said material was sick, I said your attitudes were vile and that it's vile attitudes generating such markets. Since you're so poor at understanding parallells, I can compare it to the generation of child porn rings etc. Supply and demand of an unusual perversion. Making sense yet? Silly muffuckahs
wannabe tough man looool just cos I'm not hysterically offended by a video I can choose not to watch.
you're the nerdy little internet kid writing essays, suck all your dead family members twice.

Slightly drifintg: Hangover from religious texts and enforcing a mindless attitude towards 'forgiving' rather than entailing the suffering but coming out with a genuine learning trait
Who's slightly drifting? Me or you or both? I just don't know anymore.

So you do think about killing. (Just not people, unless you are talking about eating people)

Well, I feel like a dick eating meat with out doing the dirty work. So many people will eat it but are sickened by the idea of something dying for it. which is stupid.
Secondly I imagine eating something you killed yourself is satisfying.
Third proper hunting sounds fun
