Been playing since release on PC, it's definitely one of the best games I've ever played, unmatched immersion and freedom, incredible visuals, the sound, the music, the voiceacting, all top notch. Cover mechanic is well-done, persuasion system is incredible..

Really there is nothing wrong with this game.

Really tempted to get a console again, probably the PS3 this time. This (and BF3) looks too good to miss

This game is excellent, certainly one of the best games I have played since the original Deus Ex.

The controls are a little clumsy when you first start playing, but you soon get used to them. They've spent a huge amount of time on detail and story, it really gives the game that extra edge.

I am playing as a stealthy, compassionate man who'd rather break your back than stab you in the throat. Makes for a much longer game too - sneaking around, working out alternative routes and avoiding killing. :a:

I wouldn't play BF3 on a console. BF3 followed the BF tradition of making a game that is specifically designed for the PC platform. The result is far more powerful game engine (Frostbite 2) and 64 player maps. Sadly you don't get any of that on the console versions. Instead you get a dumbed down engine with many of the physics turned off, 30fps max (LOL!) and I think a maximum of 24 players.

BF3 is first and foremost a PC game.

I just did the switch to Nvidia from ATI. I now have a super-overclocked 560 GTX Ti DS (EVGA) video card, and will probably buy another one next month (mmm SLI). Along with a new mobo and CPU. What do you think of the Sandybridge?

Bought a Shinobi case the other day. Spent an afternoon soundproofing it and painting all the internal LEDs on my mobo with black lead paint. So now I have an invisible and almost totally silent black rubbery metal object :)

pretty much the same as you, im trying not to load up previous saves when i fuck shit up but it's really hard not to when your trying to be a stealthy ninja.
Have been going for all the augments that get you to hidden places, i.e being able to lift heavy objects and hacking etc. Also the multiple takedown one is pretty bad ass. Loving the game so far. :U:

Same as you guys, trying to play total stealth, doing all the side quests and whatnot, it is incredibly fun. Next playthru I might just go guns blazing and kill everyone.

I am pretty sure that they made sure it ran best on ATI cards. There's ATI logos all over their website and on the launch screen init.

Maybe I shouldn't have thrown my HD5750 away just yet (well thrown into the cupboard of computer junk that I can't bare to part with!).

I got that dude's video footage, broke the arms of the drug dealers and what did I get in return? A poxy fucking laser sight. I wanted a praxis point you speccy twat, maybe I should have asked for a reward instead of doing it out of my Sikh benevolence.

to those of you who have played the game (completed it maybe?), how open is it, world wise? are looking at a fallout size map, or prehaps something more linear, like COD story mode? or in between?

i would say somewhere inbetween. The levels for the main missions are pretty big and are jam packed full of stuff to loot and hack etc, if you go about fully raiding and infiltrating one of these places it can take a good few hours sometimes. There are also a few city's you will find yourself in (won't tell you which for spoiler purpose's) but they each have a few side quests you can go and complete in them. There aren't that many side quests but they can each take quite a while to complete. On top of that there are tons of random building's and secret locations to be found in each district.

Think Mass Effect 2.

And don't use that dirty word in my presence
