Jeez some of you lot are young! I didn't start dj'ing until I was 22 (28 now). Definitely make the most of the massive headstart you're getting and the fact your brain's will take in so much more so much quicker than us older folks partied out brains!

Damn you technology! Why did u not come sooner! :6:

just trying to debunk some stereotypes about youngings.

Bai.
u really dont need to fam..

theres always been some dedicated people and some weird people and the two are def uncorrelated to age...

being truthful in what u do has little to do with age foreal.. and if it does the relationship often goes the other way around if u ask me...

Look at quartus Saul. He's like 19 or something and he is by far my favorite artist.I totally agree on the fact that it doesn't matter what age you are, if you are producing mad shit then age is completely out of the question

I'm 18. I started making guitar based music when I was 15, recording and mixing.

21 here, started at 20. i actualy wanted to get into making hiphop beats back when i was like 14-15 and even started sort of on garage band but just never pursued it.. i remember trying to get FL way back when i was 16 and i was unsucesful so i just gave up... fuckin epic fail. also wish i wasn't so hopelessly addicted to video games i would of accomplished alot more since i seriously started at 20.

19 right now, started producing when I was 15.

The only downside I can think of with my age is that it's hard to obtain the money for equipment/plugins, constantly have to make compromises, but I suppose that teaches get the most out of the stuff that you've got, and that's always a good way to practice and understand things, rather than having 20 instruments and only going through the presets because you don't understand it. :)

The way I see it, it is. It's a broad genre, you're given an Idea of how it works (importance of sub bass), then you do whatever the fuck you want with it imo. That's why I love it, less rules than anything else I've ever heard before

I have come from "the oldest producers on dsf" thread (http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=195594), and we propose a battle to show you young'ins how its done . You gotta take this with a pinch o salt tho, its just a bit of fun.

I'm 15, I've been dabbling with music all my life, I used to train in Hindustani music till I got bored of it. Been producing for about a month or so now, and I'm not all that good but HEY, gotta start somewhere ^_^
My main interest right now is blending Indian classical music with dubstep. Think Engine-Earz Experiment, but with a much bigger Indian influence. I can play the harmonium and sing, that counts too right? :P

I'll do it, but only if my mum lets me. she says I can't associate with older men on the internet for some reason.

Wide range of ages in this forum, that is if you assume that everyone on the internet is not a lying. me, I'm 19 years old, started after I turned 18 so I've only been producing for a year a bit so far, gonna be 20 in July which feels weird. :corntard:
