Getting on making the beat now! It's my mate's birthday next weekend so I think I'll make it a birthday rap for him and get my other mate to sing on it!

I haven't received any entries for this yet. Are people still down or has everyone chickened out?!?!

i was planning on submitting over the weekend.. deadline is tues, no?

Mine is basically more of a song than it is bars-n-beats. So i dunno. I didn't go as hard lyrically so much as putting a song together.
But its got vox, and its my track, so there it is. Who else is down?

btw any tips on mixing vocals on a track? I only recorded a couple songs in the past, but the vocals always sound muddy and not great

I'm going to submit either today or tomorrow, or whenever the deadline is.

All I really have to do is record the vocals and that'll be it. Hopefully my mixing is up to par with everyone else's, my lyrics though, those are a work of genius.

Just read the original post and apparently closing is Tuesday - oops! I can't submit until Wednesday though as I am away atm..Have already made my beat though so can we extend until Wednesday? Pretty please?

Just to clarify, do the lyrics have to be of a battle like nature? ie are you battling when you are rapping or is it a battle in that the different raps will merely be compared to each other? Would definitely be throwing out some disses either way but would still be good to know

Also, a standard verse is 16 bars, so a minimum of 32 does seem a little hefty... this is a great idea though

You can do it in a battle style or any other style. Just so long as your spitting I don't care.
