The RLD in Amsterdam at night is the most depraved place i've ever been, and i've been to some proper off-key places. It is gang run, and it's only when you open your eyes and look around at anything other than the spectacle of women in windows that you realise what an absolute hell hole it is.
Beautiful during the day though (architecture, atmosphere, the canals etc.)

In theory it's all mature females making an informed choice,
in reality it's largely about poverty, family splits, drug addiction & exploitation.
And after awhile, to maintain a shred of self-respect, comes her rationale to keep going.

Didn't you once also say that a girl you knew deserved it when she got raped? I think we've established that you have some pretty weird sex issues.

One of my best friends was a pornstar for a few years (actually, she was my first ever girlfriend too, but that was a loooong time ago!) ... she had a great time, and didn't hurt herself or anybody else. If you're cool with it, you're cool with it... I don't understand how someone can sit on the sidelines and moralise about girls who use natural gifts to their own advantage... especially when they use a large proportion of their posts on here to demonstrate that they have pretty fucked up sexual morality and attitude themselves.

Independence is the key and honesty is the key to that. We have to be honest and open about our demand for sex as a society - some people will always be willing to buy and sell sex. If you're not interested, fair enough (I'm not especially, either), but muttering about "vixen whores" from the back of society is seriously ugly behaviour. Live and let live.

Go to the suburbs and you'll see a number of things. Very rarely you will see a Thai bride. More commonly you will see an ugly man with a hot wife, who is essentially a more 'classy' version of the Thai bride, due to being more updated to Western culture and having less of a social stigma than the Thai bride. Basically, it's my opinion that there's not much different between a Thai bride and a 'Real Orange county housewife' style partner, they're both after the dollar, probably don't 'love' their husband and the only real difference (as already stated) is the second wife is more accustomed to Western life due to being a native.

However, I also realise they're both miles away from prostitution. I don't mind it myself - would never do it, but I don't frown upon it as much as most people. The act itself is harmless, but as said - in 90% of cases it's got huge repercussions such as drugs, poverty and extortion. That's why I think it should be legalised, then both parties would benefit hugely.

I wonder, really, whether the majority really are in the former category. This book has quite a lot to say about the whole thing, although it draws largely on anecdotal evidence and is a bit emotive about it. Personally I never would pay for sex, I think.

Was in Amsterdam recently and we wandered through the red light district, I found it surreal, disheartening and quite frankly horrible, the entire thing - but at the same time you have to recognise the obvious benefits of legalising and controlling it, in terms of women's safety and so on, although I wonder whether it might legitimise pimps or something, never really seen any sciency literature about the effect of it. A lot of people defend prostitution by saying that it's about the woman's choice and so on, and to a certain extent I agree, I suppose, but I can still dislike it; I wouldn't really go and yell at a prostitute for being a prostitute, but I think I would think less of any bloke who paid for it.

Also, allow people saying "oh we all pay for it in one way or another" because it's bullshit. Am I also "paying" for companionship/friendship if I buy my mate a pint? When I got together with my partner it was because we were attracted to each other and because we enjoyed each others company, not because I bought her a meal.

no I dont think the majority are in the former category either, at all, but there's no doubt there are "escort" services which are effectively high-class, highly expensive forms of prostitution where the women are usually attractive, having fun, making a lot of money etc etc.

If I was being ungenerous I would say the kind of men who pay for sex are probably emotionally retarded and have issues with their own sexuality and understanding of women.
