Vattikan-Hey Papi it was absolutely terrible going into. Moombah is cheesey. But when you broke down with the two step it pulled together more. clap doesn't sound to loud. it was cool just not the biggest fan of moombah. did like the ending though.

Sonica- Bravery really need to add the reverb maybe some chorus to the vocals. the glitchy vocals in the chorus line were a nice touch.

jrisreal-Your signature song Im not sure if thats up for critique but the vocal sample from Serenity is simply amazing I love that movie and your grimey ass bass. I cant never figure out how to make one of them. If you have the time hollar at me bout it

@xjb Nice track! I would add some more highs on hihat and snare, to less muddy. Would do you mean exactly by "fattening up a bit"? maybe some advice. We will start playing that stuff on January, we are finishing our set. I have played a lot of concerts but it was postpunk with female vocals (something like Gossip).

@itsdeadpool mark instinct - I would add more low frequencies to bass and it would be great!
greatest-freakout - more compression on master would be nice to add more space between each phrase of wouble

@neenjahbrand0 I would add more lows on bass, gain up snare with less reverb, gain up a little bit kick. To much compresion on Master, song is to flat because of that. My song is in polish, it would have also English version because we want to play some shows in Europe (London, Berlin, Paris...)

Darj - definitely digging that dark style, although im missing some high end to contrast the deep, dark, low bass. That's definitely some quality production there though.

orangeapplesauce - Didn't quite like the ending, other than that I found your track pretty Fing relaxing, need a spliff with that.

itsdeadpool - Sick buildup, it sounded though as if the drop has started from the middle, I would have liked it much more if it had started from the vocals that come in about half way through the drop. Otherwise nice atmoshperic sounds, very thick. Very nice vocals aswell.

neenjahbrand0 - Your track seems a bit all over the place bass/synth wise it seems you put a lot of different ones into one track and there's not enough consistency for me. It's definitely thick and seems like it took a lot of time and effort.

misch Bomber - The transition to the thicker part seems a bit unnatural and forced, otherwise sick and chilled track, love the ambience you created in this. Also, that snare is delicious. Otherwise the track is thick and sounds like a quality production.
Valkyrie - Sounds like an action movie soundtrack, very nice, chill yet very dark and evolving, definitely digging this, not much to say otherwise.Loving it.

Here are my first 2 productions, trying to get better atm.

@dubz - needs sum mixdown work, and its a little distorted but ya!!!!!1 this is killer dude, the sub cud be thicker

@jkz - i dont rly like garage so i cant judge the vibes but the production is tight and the sub is thick.. sounds good 2 me

@antman - rly cool synth sound but the drums r weak and the sub is just kinda weird.. i love the intro and the little horns tho badass concept

@misch - didnt like the first one at all, the second one the intro gets a little too repetitive and the mixing is a little off but i dig the way the song progresses.. more subz

@itsdeadpool - ur drums n sub r weak cuz, but ur synth sounds are interesting, also nice tom fills haha i dont hear a real bassline ever in there tho it just kinda follows the craziness

@orangeapplesauce - cool dubby vibe, but u shud turn the sub up

@darj - i dig it, the melody doesnt really stick with me but it feels good

@S1NTH3TIC - i couldnt stay interested, there wasnt rly a hook or any type of groove that was catching my ear, also needs lots of subbage!!!

here's my track just finished it today;

coogcoo- im listening laptop speakers o i wont be able to comment on much technically. it all needs a little bit more punch drums wise, theyr a bit too far back especially the clap sound. I like the wobble, its really weird and different but in a good way. could maybe change the riff up at some point like go up an octave or something. The tune has a feel of it wouldnt go anywhere without the wobble, like its pulling the rest of the elements with and it creates this kind of awkward dead feel to it. some good ideas in there though, just needs work.

Krages Song1- feels a bit dry in the intro, maybe use some more reverb on a couple more elements. its all a bit muddy in the midrange area as well, that bass needs eqing and shaping better, also try and make a sound thats a bit more pleasing to the ear, its just kind of feels really rough and noisey. nice breakdown in the main section, comes in at the right time although again those lead synth blips feel way dry. look at the main melody for your midrange too, just kind of ambles along at times without any sense its a melody, feels a bit like a cluster of notes. Having said that, its a brilliant effort to say its one of your first mate well done.

jkz- Loving the two step beat! retro vibes! can't beat a bit of garage/two-step ever man, nicely done. theres just one vocal that seems a bit out of place with the other, its at 1-05 but beofre that too, maybe change that one. not too much else i can say, work on the bongo sound too as well it sounds a bit cheap, apart from that its all good mate nice one.

Here's my effort-

@ dubz - Really nice tune, I don't tend to use voice samples, you've shown a good example! Maybe vary the pads and leads a bit more for variation?

@ coogcoo - Reminds me of Coki, love ittt. should bring up the mids a bit more in the mixdown.

@ Cheeky - Really well produced! I rate the reverb on the instruments. It's a little repetitive though, the sections should have baselines that sound a little more different.

@coogcoo
diggin the vocal sample - that main key kinda gets annoying after awhile. Maybe take it out and bring it back in again?

@Inmate
Sounds crispy - nice mixdown! Needs a bit more variation imo

Coogcoo - Really like the drums here, give this entire piece a great feel, though the kick could be more punchy imo. The sub is perfect too. However, that synth lead, although it does sound great, gets repetitive. I would switch it up in the future, mess with the cutoff and the distortion, also try out some different phrases. Also slap on an LFOed bass in the lower register every once in a while. Couldn't hurt.

Cheeky - Like the ideas here, but I really wish you moved em down a few octaves! These would sound a lot meatier if they were bass. Speaking of bass, where's the sub? This tune sounds dry. Maybe it's just the fact that I'm listening using iPod headphones, which are undoubtedly shit, but I usually can still hear some sub. Likin this tune overall tho.

Swaggr - Great track here! Really like the synth expression in the intro/throughout the song.
Breakdown is great.
Try as I might, I can actually not think of any legitimate objections to this song!

Okay, my track is the second one down in my signature, the remix of Stan by Eminem.
I went for an old school dubstep thing on this one.
Thanks in advance!

@Inmate: Nice tune, The warbley bass sounds crisp but its too repetitive. That cinematic hit makes me wanna hear some strings. I'm imaging some sick call & answer between the two.

@Artemis: Sounds fresh :W: The melody's got that pop and the bass is melty and sick ! :corndance:

@Swaggr: I think it could use some electro vibes in the main part. My favorite part's the breakdown, well done.

I'll give more feedback when its not 4:20 in the am.. but until then, here's a glitch tune I've been working on :)

I love that movie...didn't pick the sample, though. It's a remix of Fuzion's collab with SubVibe "30 Million". And the bass that I think you are talking about, just a reese ;-) Thanks!

This one is 100bpm 'dubstep.' It's quite a happy tune, but it has resampled and synthesized basslines which are meant to hit hard! No compression (actually nothing) on the master channel to keep this as dynamic as possible.

Soundcloud
With this 140bpm dubstep we wanted to be as heavy as possible, without just making 'filth.' A lot of synths together with some nice resampled passages.

Both tracks made in Nov-Dec.

FEEDBACK:

Imonia - Outline: Too much reverb, both bass, drums everything. In fact the bassline sounds just like dirt. The one that goes in at 1:30 is more 'Skrillex style' and sounds cleaner. Your drums don't cut through as well. I suggest you start going over EQ basics and create space for your sounds. Always watch out for the right timbre when choosing sounds. E.g. the Skrillex bassline at 1:30 contrasts the muddy bass quite nice, this is what dubstep is all about imo, these kind of contrasts.

Dubz: Nice kick, very nice in fact, the snare is a little weak, it could do with a layer, and I would also put an envelope on the snare to make some layers snappier, i.e. shorter (less decay/release). Chords are very nice and nicely distributed in the stereo image. Bassline is too dirty, if you are going to use so much distortion/bitcrusher, then at least EQ out all disturbing frequencies with super fine notches (for every bad frequency also EQ out the harmonics). Really dig the style though, nice vocals!!

Coogcoo: The hats need more top end (EQ wise), they need to be a little bit more sparkly. I would EQ out everything under 200-300Hz for the hats, with a low-cut or low-shelf and add a high shelf and add some sparkle! What synth did you use for the main bassline? Sub is very nice actually! Kick is a bit of the weak side and boring, snare is interesting but needs some EQing.
