if you're going to use terms like agnostic try and know what they mean it may save you the embarrassment

Thing is no one gets to dictate your beliefs to you you don't get to proscribe to someone who wishes to call themselves a Christian what their beliefs should be. There isn't a single world view of Christianity, key concepts such as transfiguration are hotly disputed. A person who calls themselves a Christian can do so without adhering to a seemingly dismissive interpretation such as your own.
Just because you do not like some dubstep dose not mean you dont like dubstep.

I believe im most of what Christan preach there for I call myself a Christian.

All I said is that I dont believe the way the bible says the wold was created, I still believe that sin, the devil and jesus are real.

I just want the add that the bible says that if you seek god you will find him. If you truly spend some time seeking god I believe that you will find him and that he will make himself known to you.

This isn't necessarily directed at Ba-zinga, but who says it's the right thing to do? 'Right' by what standards?
good question

no one says it's the right thing to do. i just find it basic to not be intolerant, hateful, or murder someone, but who's to say these values weren't instilled in me subconsciously by a religious society? (i think that's the point you're trying to get at?) i believe that humans are naturally born good, with the best intentions for themselves and their species.

EDIT: the reason i hate most organized religion is because of this topic actually...muslim and christian religions breed intolerance and hate for others that don't believe in the same they do
Not necessarily a religious society but certainly those that came before us. and when you say "humans are naturally born good" you're still aproaching the subject as a human and so I ask a similar question - 'good' by what standards?
To clear things up a bit, i'm not saying I know any more than you. It's just a question or way of looking at things that interests me.
Also - "muslim and christian religions breed intolerance and hate" Personally, I like to draw a distinction between religion and the religious. Both of the religions that you mention have many peaceful and loving members, it's often the case that man twists the (so called) word of God to his own ends and then beef agwahn.

The devil punishes the bad, does that make him good?

Science flies people to the moon, god flies people into buildings.

no i'm not getting offended, the way you are putting it IS interesting and allows for more shower-brainstorming for me in the future :D just tryin to think it out here

good by the standards for the betterment of the species, is what i am trying to say...they are naturally born with the best interests of themselves and others, which would include not killing, not hating (also shunning, in effect turning them away from others and breeding more hate), and just being a loving society. i'm approaching it as a human attempting to look as much as i can from the outside, so excuse me. i just believe that no self-respecting species upon birth with no other influences would go around killing and hating on others.. ( for some reason i feel like we're running in circles here  )

and yeah, they do have peaceful and loving members, but the point i was trying to make there was that if there was no religion the "twisting" and "taken to extremes" would never have been done. religions provide a ground to do so. i don't like to compare and make blanket statements, but there have been many truly villainous people acting in the name of their god, that have killed many, while there have been none killing in the name of "the-absence-of-a-god"

and honestly the bible (sorry to keep referencing it i've only been raised as a christian :P) has a lot of murder and misogyny in it, and once i took a step back and looked at it some of the passages in there were very frightening to examine...

also the idea of intelligent design is laughable, and i never quite understood it even when i was active in my church.

to think for one second the universe was tailored to us is highly egotistical...the world does not care whether we are here or not

@Ba-zinga
We probably are going in circles but I do tend to ask daft questions and get caught in logical/illogical thought loops.
Actually, no we're not. I just needed a reasonable frame to put 'good' in. You gave it - "for the betterment of the species". That'll do.

idk, I like to think of religion as a knife - it can be used to cut up your food so you can digest it better or it can be used to stab the shit out of someone. Just depends who's holding it.

Anyway, I personally don't believe in the Abrahamic god, I was just playing devils advocate for the sake of conversation.

As for intelligent design
