Hey, i was having an argument the other day about "drumstep" - i dont know if i was just mistaken , but wasn't "drumstep" a label for all the techy half-step Therapy Sessions crew before the whole brostep shit? They did used to call it "drumstep", right?

Dunno, I've first heard it in reference to bro halfstep dnb. But the Therapy stuff has been called a million different things by now so I wouldn't be surprised if some people at some point called it drumstep.

machine code tagged as "drumstep" now? most "drumstep" I've heard so far is so so bad...
these actually make counterstrike's bro stuff sound good in comparison. I guess it's appealing for brostep and jump up fans.

No i was just posting that tune lol, and then posted a related question.
Link me some of Counterstrike's, SPL's and Tech Itch's dubstep stuff - is any of it good?
So far, i dont think Cooh aka Balkansky's dubstep is that bad, just really hit and miss as cliche "YAGYAGYARRRR" stuff weighs evenly with his original, deep tunes.
EDIT: Just heard that Avril 14th remix you posted... oh my...

I don't know about Tech Itch, but all the others; no. And it really pains me to say this because SPL is one of my favorite producers. His hardcore and his dnb. But his dubstep is so bad. :/ He's really into Skrillex and 12th Planet and it shows. I get that he needs to pay the rent and I'm not holding it against him, but it's such a waste of talent.

Tech Itch's dubstep tunes are good. But he got into dubstep via Headhunter.
Current Value tries to make some dubstep as well, outside of Machinecode. This was his first one, I think: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rliAYxoncAI
Didn't like this one at all, but the other tunes on this EP are pretty sick.

Don't really know what this is, hardly dubstep but barely dnb either, strange. Fucking wicked though.

Personally, i thought Tech Itch's dubstep were tunes were really nice. SPL's isn't great but i dunno, dont reckon he's tarnished his reputation. I did hear one on YT which sounded like a Skrillex attempt. And Counterstrike's isnt thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat bad, second one is god-awful but the other two are... just generic crap.
Also, i can't believe i never heard that Gein remix considering all the people involved are sick, it's pretty insane - i think those lot are onto something!
