This right here! Changes>Anti-War dub any day, even if Changes is just by Mala.BlueyTeamTom wrote:i always saw Changes as an anthem as preferred too anti-war dub.. purely because of the wahhhhhhh wahhhhhhh wahwahwahh wah wahhhhhh hahahha <3!!
Anti-war dub is by mala, apart from the vocals of course.Heijerospook wrote:This right here! So in the case of Anti-War Dub, the name "Digital Mystikz" is just nominal because it was produced by Mala? I know that Digital Mystikz is nominal in many ways any way, but that is hard to believe.Dub_freak wrote:Anti-war dub is by mala, apart from the vocals of course.Heijerospook wrote:This right here! Digital Mystikz is not Mala and Coki making tracks together, both of them will release under that name if they feel the track has a 'digital mystikz vibe', mawo dub is the only track i can think of where they collaborated.Heijerospook wrote:So in the case of Anti-War Dub, the name "Digital Mystikz" is just nominal because it was produced by Mala? I see, I see, that's what I was kind of getting at.Dub_freak wrote:Digital Mystikz is not Mala and Coki making tracks together, both of them will release under that name if they feel the track has a 'digital mystikz vibe', mawo dub is the only track i can think of where they collaborated.Heijerospook wrote:So in the case of Anti-War Dub, the name "Digital Mystikz" is just nominal because it was produced by Mala? That wasn't even close to being my point but you're from Sligo so probably wet and miserableDurag wrote: Yeah omg i know right! lets all start threads about how we all love Mala, place would be hopping then.
Im not as a big of a Mala fan as everyone else here and i usually perfer Coki's tracks to be honest. I still think Mala is a genius but i dont think his tracks are as great as everyone makes them out to be.
Its ok, that makes two of us.mikey-bizzle-09 wrote:This isn't going to go down well i know but Burials tunes!

I just thought it was funny seeing him in a thread of overrated tunes seeing as i barely see him get mentioned anywhere and i've never heard any DJ play any of his tunes out either, guy's relatively unknown for the most part tbhElectric_Head wrote:I knew you'd be the one to comment.particle-jim wrote:He said overrated not underrated...Electric_Head wrote:And most Widdler.
You have voiced your love for Widdler.
I don't know, it's just not all that imo.
I come from a Psy, Ambient, background and the style he produces is nothing new to me.
In fact the artists I grew to love that made psy ambient or breaks are just better imo.
Not to say he doesn't make good tunes compared to many out there, it's just not my favorite.
You're a terrible person.Johoosh wrote:Education

If I put him in that category then I can think of many artists who I prefer.
But he does get a fair bit of hype around the outdoor psy scene down here.
That was the point of this music initially and for some producers it still is.ultraspatial wrote: And imo the whole "it's a system tune" thing is bullshit. A good tune is a good tune, regardless of where you play it (ok, maybe not on laptop speakers). There's plenty of commercial jump up tunes that go off at rave, doesn't mean they're any good. What's even the point of releasing stricly system tunes if people can't enjoy it unless they're at a night?
Been to plenty of nights mate, and the tunes I like sound good both on a system and at home. I just think that whole system tune thing is being thrown around to legitimize plenty of uninteresting tearout tunes. Good music is good music, doesn't matter if you're listening on a rig, at home, in your car, on headphones on the bus etc. Sure, you "feel" them more on a system, but imo there's more to the music than that. If they're just club bangers it makes more sense for producers to just keep them as dubs than releasing them, since people won't "get" them otherwise.Anjin wrote:That was the point of this music initially and for some producers it still is.ultraspatial wrote: And imo the whole "it's a system tune" thing is bullshit. Haven't you had that experience were you hear a tune out and are pleasantly surprised( or completely underwhelmed)?
Good tunes are good ideas and a system does show how well the producer has been able to implement their idea.
You may not get the idea until your stood by the bins.
I don't think that could have possibly been stated any better.ultraspatial wrote:Been to plenty of nights mate, and the tunes I like sound good both on a system and at home.
