But for srs I like the occult. Not much into astrology though (at least not the 'personality test' notion of it). I just like the shapes.

well shit, come on "
chaos magic"? I just don't get how we all call bullshit on shit like Christianity, but somehow this stuff is considered legitimate amongst posters here.

Also the fact that Soiree is really into this sort of thing is a bit of a turn off as well

Chaos magick is just a name, it is a pretty silly name but i also think it's a bit tongue-in-cheek
There's a kind of absurd humour vibe that goes along with it

I find these chaos magick types things very interesting
the whole thing seems to revolve around a really strong manifestation of an ultimately wholly abstract aesthetic and thought
in many ways its an extension of what people try achieve in things like music or even fashion - when people talk about something conjuring up a sense of "scene" or space
its like some weird amalgamation of unrelated culture and ideas someone pieced together to actual form a cohesive belief/culture/reality
in many ways it resembles (and preceded) , the ways the we seem to be learning to interact with culture on the internet, like seapunk and stuff is definitely in the legacy of this sort of thing
very interesting
imo

it's not a weird amalgamation. it's a fundamental understanding that a specific person arrived at and shared.

is that understanding not a product of that amalgamation, arriving at a cohesive truth by that process in a very post-modern way?
the whole find feels like a post-modernism endgame
idk
think I'm wading too deep now
kind of what I'm getting at
I'm examining it more on a purely cultural basis though, admittedly

it's more of a reduction than amalgamation
