and yeah, take the point about separating GM from Monsanto wider issue
they didn't do yellow rice (vit A enhanced rice)
don't quite understand why that wasn't as successful as hoped.

Golden rice can suck my ding dong anyway, the countries its aimed at are poor as fuck because of structural inequalities. This 'magic bullet' is just an excuse for the status quo to be prolonged, imperialism taking with one hand and sweeping some crumbs off the floor to be served on a plate
