idk basically all this really comes down to is we need more users/activity if this place wants to survive. I've made really great friends off this board, people I intend on staying in contact with for a long time, and I love having a nice little community where "everybody knows everybody", but it can't last forever if new people are cycling in as well to keep people interested. No easy solutions :/

I don't really know what's to be done for making this place better. I'm more inclined to follow Pete/Wub/Badge etc on their opinions because I know they give a shit about this place and want it to be successful.

That said, I really hope this place stays strong. Since I've joined I've met a tonne of people many of whom I would include among my best mates now, I've been to so many nights which I would never of have the balls to go to by myself because I wouldn't have known anyone and It's really nice to be part of a community like this. Granted there are a few fassys, but you can just foe em if it gets annoying.

I think the SNH bants are pretty funny, but maybe its getting a bit much. Maybe it was a bit better in the old (ish) days in like 2011-2012 even when discussion threads with peaceful vibes outnumbered meme threads or general shit throwing

Some of the dsf bants, even over the last half year or so have been pretty good tbf, but I guess its sort of become a competition to see who can be the biggest cock Especially being an asshole to jesslem, fucks sake some of you lot are hard as fuck on that guy.

I feel like the SNH is getting an unecessarily bad rep tho, there is positivity around too. The weekly mix threads are completely free of the h8.

It gets positive when people start threads for positive things, like music and such, that people care about.

Really tho I wanna keep the SNH just to have a place to chat to that certain group, as thats most of what draws me here, even though we've been getting a bit too dickish lately.

So I mentioned reaching out to a wider community of music, but that doesn't mean ditching the dubstepforum brand. I'm not suggesting that. I think y'all can stay dubstep. But to get new users you're going to have to make the forum relevant in other areas, probably both online and off.

There was a time when you could sit back and stack cash off organic traffic, that is not going to happen anymore. You've got to go out and drive people here.

If classic dubstep is blossoming across the United States, where are those users, why aren't they coming here to learn about/talk about dubstep? Yeah, they're probably all on facebook. You've got to find a way to pull those mf'ers off facebook, and engage them in valuable interactions here.

Pete - I'm not for stricter moderating. I've seen active users being banned because they did something several other users did. The pedantic word filters and banings for minor little things is a reason, imo, that people have left. No adult wants to be playing by grade school rules. (I don't know if you know what grade school is, it is school for little kids ) Spare me the economic arguments for it, but consider the arguments against it. You've got good active people leaving.
