Sounds like a tough deal you got going on... when do you get the MRI?

yesh :/ .. thank you ..
it's kinna a fucked/complex situation.
i'm in graduate school at UCLA so my health care is student health care, which means i'm only covered to go to the student health center where they do not have facility for MRI's, or somewhere they refer me to. They gave me a referral to a neurologist and to a rheumatologist (for joint inflammation) but the offices of those specialists have yet to receive the referrals from the student health center (its called the ASHE center but i have started referring to it as the ASS center) so basically I can't get the MRI until they send the referrals unless i want to pay for it myself which i do not bc them shits r up the wazoo. And go figure they are not returning my phone calls and no appnts available for weeks.
essentially i have come to the conclusion that theres no help for me and i just have to deal with it. pretty shitty.

Sounds like you gotta bust some heads at the Student Health Center.

i also get socially paranoid (especially when meeting new people) in that i think i'm being annoying/weird to people all the time and get worried that they're getting a terrible view of me
I used to worry about that, now I just figure it's their problem
I get a recurrent ear infection every few months, can hear the top layer of sound go in one ear and then within a few days sounds like I'm listening through a pillow. Really helpful when I want to do production, which inevitably I do every time it hits
Oh and there's more tar in my lungs than on most roads, but then that's self-inflicted so can't really complain about that.

Lmao violent knee
The knee knows.. "Wing Chun" and attacks passers by at random, kinda talks.
You know it. It attacks your decks like lightening and spills beer all over them, and your records, and your comics. Then it just sits there holding him up while the his face goes "it wasn't me"...
Then it does something with big cocks.

There are some pretty serious cases of illness in this thread, especially you Stanton.
I guess the main thing that affects me now is that I've destroyed many bones and ligaments over the continuing years of skateboarding. Cod liver oil is the one.
At the moment an in-growing toenail is my main aliment. Butchered it with some scissors the other night and that seems to have fixed it.

heh i've had these on my big toes for about 10 years but can't be arsed going to the doctors and then have to walk around on crutches afterwards, so i just perform minor surgery on myself every now and then. really should sort it lol...

suppose it's outgrowing really... my big toenails grow outwards into the fleshy bit at the edge of the toenail

Parson wrote:£10 Bag wrote:my left leg is fucked. its got two screws in it, aches constantly, hurts in the cold, and i can't kneel down.
could be a lot worse though, at least i have legs.
gotta be optimistic about these things
i have a screw in my elbow. hurts like a motherfucker when i bump it into stuff
I had three in my left one for a few years, got them out though, doc said i didnt need em any more and it would be easier than trying to do it later in life. I got them by breaking my humerus right above the elbow joint wrestling in high school. I was about to beat the state champ from the previous year on points, 15 secs left and *snap*... got rookie of the year and never wrestled again.
Ive also broken my wrist, sprained my wrists many, many times from snowboarding and skating to the point that they hurt most of the time and make grinding noises alot. Compressed ankles also from skating and snowboarding, knees have too much cartilidge (hereditary) so they hurt alot and make crackling noises when I stand up, necks messed up from landing on my head in the halfpipe and my shoulder hurts daily from being on a computer too much...
but i cant complain really, for as much abuse as ive put my body through with 20+ years of skiing/snowboarding and 10+ skating i feel pretty good
