This country was buil by imigrants and other cultures, sure some of them are going to be bastards but then a portion of all race and culture is like this, this overgeneralisation is the core of racism, hatred and all things wrong. SORT YOUR FUKIN HEAD OUT and stop scapegoating ur problems onto others.
Nah, fuck immigrants.

Would be interesting to hear from the british people who moved to the US (or the other way too actually), like what they miss, what they prefer etc.

England, now residing in America.

I'm a bloody immigrant taking people's jobs off them, grrrr. I've set up a support group for British ex-pats. We do gardening, knitting and wot not. All the locals get REALLY ANGRY when they see us tending the beans on the dub allotment. They want in on the action, but we tell them they can't because the British are a minority here and we need to look after each other. Then I remind them that if they were that interested in gardening, they would have taken the initiative to start their own gardening group. That shuts their backwards xenophobic mouth up quite nicely.

I like both places for differing reasons. I miss the English seasons, culture and humour.

LA is a great place for me because there is a creative buzz around that you just can't experience or appreciate whilst on holiday.

Yeah, was thinking it would be interesting to hear from you about this, I'm planning on moving across the pond in a few years, trying to get an impression of the differences (aside from my reasons for going that is).

You live in california and miss the english seasons? It's april and it was fucking snowing last week

I hated London... as far as pollution goes (back in 1999) but SoCal is pretty bad in that respect. Seattle is just too dark (clouds all the time) but I really like Cornwall (SW England) the most. The people there were really strange and friendly. I liked the food there and the pubs were super nice. When I mentioned I liked Aphex Twin everyone laughed and they said old Rich was a wacky one. He was the town nutter I suppose.....

Anyway, I liked the UK just fine. I like the US just fine. I don't care for socialism but the US government is starting to head in that direction. Oh well....I live, I die.

something we consider strange and unbearable.

It's a rather foolish man thinking it'd be amusing to set fire to him crotch, then the fire getting out of control and his mates stamping on him.

In all fairness, if any of my mates set fire to their crotch, I'd stamp on them for their foolishness.

UK ONLY SUCKS BECAUSE THERE ARNT NO MORE ENGLISH PEOPLE LEFT!

90.7% of the United Kingdoms population was born here.
87.5 % of which, where born in England
2.3% come from the E.U
7.0% come from outside the E.U

Get your facts right before you start spouting Daily Mail headlines.
Big up Baron...TRUTH

I'm from the UK...York to be precise...Fairly 'up north' to a lot of the country.

Family is in Guildford though.
