it's been a good example of how DSF production competitions should be.
1) 2 producers dual it out
2) make your own track from scratch
3) Anonymous submission
4)

5) fight!

I choose track 2, quality of U Demon doesn't really compete with gold diaper
Plus some of those samples made me lol especially with the beef in mind

it won't let me edit the poll now.
Track A = Demon
Track B = Gold Diaper

I'm voting on B because of the samples, they were classic
A was ok, but didn't make my monitors bang
plus A was only 1 minute long
B was a full tune so that alone wins IMHO

lol looks like a landslide vote for just rob. Ah well, i didnt expect to win.
oh and the excuse is I was working on cubase project, SLR mix, kontackt, recording sounds, pro tools vocal editing on a radio interview... etc so had almost no time. + didnt try to make a normal sounding dubstep tune so i added screams, and phase distortion which would not be to everyones (or anyones!) taste.

well tbh you're track is pretty dirt. i mean demon could use some beef. no pun intended. but the idea is there and it's fuckin heavy.
on the other hand claw is right, gold diaper it's not completely done. and it's bound to grow on you.
edit:::
um.... the above was in reply to this only...
Junglist wrote:lol looks like a landslide vote for just rob. Ah well, i didnt expect to win.
the rest of junglist's reply was added in between my post. weird timing.

Yeah like I said in the pro tools thread i'd completed about 5% of my tracks, and obviously have nowhere near as much experience as justrob, the problem was getting the sub to have some power because all the other sound used to make it sound dirty were taking up headroom, i thing alot more compression was needed and obviously alot more time + sub.

thought A was better of the 2 production wise...song wise though...B doesn't vary much but benefits from "hilarious" vocal sample to break up the monotony, and A does not vary that much as a result of being short (but deffo got potential makings of something interesting). Also there's hardly any kick drum on B (or atleast enough for my liking.)

Why was Demon only 1min long?
