Rusko says it is in the mix.

Precisely! I wasn't exactly nominating this track for "Deepest Tune Ever."
I was saying it will make women shake it.
boy_arena wrote:Personally i think Rusko is coming in at a completely different angle rite now, I think he appeals to people that are yet to discover the dubstep sound and pulls them in.
If this tune was played in a commercial club im pretty sure it would grab a few people that have never heard of dubstep to look further into the sound so in the respect that hes trying to push things forward and get more people involved in the sound then fair play.
Its not really my bag but iv seen it time and time again, people that are not too sure about dubstep and dont know much about the genre as a whole always seem to take to caspa and rusko tunes first then educate themselves further into the sound.
I don't always get to play to a room full of people that belong to this forum, so tunes like this make for great transitions into the REAL sashimi tuna.
Man I didn't think this thread would bring out so much hate!

Pretty sure he played this in Cardiff on Saturday.
Pretty sure I danced to it.

I think it would be fire on the dancefloor, particularly with the ladies.
But that's just, like, my opinion man.
I agree, this is most definitely ladies music either that or folks of the other persuasion. ;p
sexist & homophobic in the same sentence. good work man ;P

right, i spoke to rusko and here is the skinny...
It is official, but was made so after the tune was built.
They heard it, liked it then signed it. So basically it was a dub to begin with, a concept, a producer trying a ting, just so happens in this instance it paid off and went further then its initial reason for being.
So big up rusky, you jammy git

BIG TUNE. I love top 40 and also love anything that makes dubstep seem more accessible to non-fans.
I would love to get a copy of this, would definitely play it out!!!
edit: so rogue star, it will be released?? awesome.

Not really my thing but I can imagine it's an OK dancefloor track with a couple of beers and a little bit more sub heavy. (or is it the audio quality from the Zshare link?)

True, but there are far better people to do it than these two.

Sick. Very Sick.
Yes I'm being serious. Lowdown Electro Funk sleaze, that bassline kills it. Could do without the vocal though, infact I think a fair few of the haters in this thread would be going nuts for this minus the vocal and if someone like Joker had made it.
Loving Rusko's newer stuff, funnily enough I never really liked his earlier stuff. To Da Floor and C'est La Vie are sick, when they drop it'll be the first Rusko plate i've bought.

this must be one the biggest disappointments in the whole "dubstep history".
don't get me wrong, rusko is a great producer and has innovated many things with his style over the years, no doubt.
but that remix is just pure shite. yeah, heavy bassline, but that's it. SHIT vocals, SHIT original tune, SHIT cheezyness. just a random shitty, cheezy club-banger for the mainstream club heads, that like pop music and still want a heavy bassline. come on people, is that what dubstep is nowadays? (as long as it moves the crowd especially the girls?? that's not the only thing of importance...).
i could go on for hours how god awful this remix is. and how surprised i am at rusko for doing something so so terribly bad. just think of all his great tunes and then this... haha... it's so bad that it's actually quite funny.
this is the perfect example what happens to producers (esp. dj/producers) when they get very successfull very fast and tour around the world constantly, havin' to rock parties night after night. ------> they just get worse with every day/production and somehow get into this loop of having to make "crowd-pleasers" all the time. ----> quality level drops A LOT!
every wondered why dmz doesn't release very much material, or loefah?
for exactly those reasons.... keepin the quality high. and that's why rusko will be gone in a few years because of his new generic bangin crap productions that no single person will be interested in in years to come and dmz/mala/coki/loefah will still be there, maybe with a lot less tunes, but with tunes that will last for quite a while. just think of some of the dmz releases. they are DEEP, wicked tunes in the dance and TOP NOTCH musical ideas.
