So it's a week until we leave for Outlook and I've managed to lose all hearing in my right ear, and I can't see a doctor until Thursday. Fingers crossed it's something straight forward.

It may be a build up of wax which my require to be syringed. I get this quite a bit. Apparently you're not meant to use cotton buds in your ears as it just pushes the wax further down. Booked in on Friday to get mine done again. Had to do it about 18 months ago too. Probably due to all the loud music I am around. You have to put olive oil drops in your ears for a couple of days before they can syringe them, so you may want to call the doctors and ask if its worthwhile you doing that as you wont have any time after your initial appointment before you leave for outlook.

Safe for that man, sound advice. Had read about the olive oil thing, so might have to give it a go. We're leaving first thing on Tuesday morning so a bit worried it won't get sorted in time.

MSc dissertation due next week but flight for outlook booked this weekend so trying to get it finished this week.

Applied for research approval with the uni ethics board months ago- just an online form because it was low risk....but just found out they never got my application, and it takes them a month to decide if its authorised, and you have to have permission before you do research like interviews, a big part of my research is from interviews- and I'm not allowed to use any of it!

......pissed off is an understatement.
