If you don't have enough HD space to install a tiny program, how are you going to make duplicate mp3s of all these wavs? Delete some unused shit dude.

again, it's not like i have zero hd space left, i just wanna keep my computer as minimal as possible. i have like 100 gigs or so left. but i used to have like 250ish when i started producing about 18-24 months ago, and it only took me like 18 months to drop that far. i try to download as little stuff as i can becuase i know that last 100 gigs is gonna go fast.

oh fuck, thats it, biggups!! good looks johney as well!

knew there was a better solution than downloading another app.

Make sure you set the iTunes settings to 320 otherwise you'll get garbage.

Dunno if iTunes lets you bulk convert though. If not you should probably just download a bulk convertor, convert all the shit, and then uninstall it. You don't gotta marry the app, just use it for a night like a sorority girl with daddy issues.

yes it does, you just select all the shit you want to convert and proceed

my itunes is configured to show the bit rate of every song next to the artist name and song and all that shit, so I am set. and yes as johney said you can bulk convert. just converted about 40 unnecessarily large (~3,000 kbps) songs, many of which were my own, into 320s earlier today. :W:

My iphone now has like at least a gig of more space on it. :D

Pity you won't get to hear wav quality on your iPhone's pristine convertors anymore though. :|

So I was a little late this week on the feedback but I think I got all the tracks for this week. I lost my internet at home for a few days thanks to AT&T. For some reason they had a termination notice on my address because I was moving....even though I wasn't moving.

I probably won't have anything this week. That diablo 3 expansion sunk it's teeth into me this week. I haven't done anything productive.

Bud - yo, this is a set, I can't figure out how to pull out individual tracks, but let a track play till the end, a new one will load. Or just go to the set, and feedback on whatever you want to :)

@mason
not sure about the drums in the intro (if they are needed so early)
dig the sub here. hm i dunno sth i dont feel with the kick this highend maybe smooth it a bit? is it a layered hi hat?
maybe switch the patterns of the melody up a bit more or remove it at places and let the drums vocals sub work together or other combinations like that
i do like the vocals and overall vibe though

@zosomagik
dig the sample?! hm yeah i agree the kick maybe keep it but add a reverb from the sample or sth and layer a deep one underneath? could work. but yeah rest is crisp nice crackles vocalchops are nice
hm maybe you could use this mini drop at 0.46 to add a big subthingy :3 or sth along those lines in the low area ?

@nowaysj
dig the pic you choosed :lol: reminds me of the swan me and my bro saw shitting shitloads shows that all animals are just humans
has a wierd vibe haha hm i def dig the samples you found. hm maybe some parts are moved a bit too much to the sides for my taste. haha i dunno mix sounds fine hard to say what to add or take away dig those mini glitchy drums that appear :W: bit like my last week entries but with your style

@dfaultuzr
dark intro. i hate to draw connections cause obviously you have your own ideas but it does remind me abit of amon tobin. i think especially the noisia amon tobin machine gun remix
but yeah its a own tune dig the vocals here. you could maybe open up the bass a bit more at places.
beat is really nice not much to critic lol maybe the first clap thingy before the drop not sure about that maybe bring it in filtering form low to high plus add maybe a short dub delay and make it stop right before the drop with a mini silence and a really short reverse sample would like to hear that

@zosomagik/oto concept: really feeling the way you used that sample. i like the understated hihat work too. i'm not sure that's what noways' comment meant but i feel like the kick stands out a bit. i'm not quite sure how finished this is tho, obviously a sub would be a nice addition,definitely wouldn't mind hearing a more polished version.

@m8son: agree with bud's comment, the intro could be beatless or maybe with just hihats or something. i actually like the clap, i wouldn't ditch it and would make it louder. the melody's nice, but is kinda leaving me wanting for more after a while, i reckon you could switch it up more before the second drop or maybe add another element (maybe stabs or some subtle pad) to complement the rest, also could be just my headphones but the hihat that kinda sounds like a shaker is a bit harsh to me?

@nowaysj: feeling this intro, actually feeling the whole sound design in the background. now i assume it's voluntary but the tribal drums loop weirdly? find it a bit too jarring even considering its meant to be "experimental" (is it tho? u tell me) all in all, i feel like all the elements are there for me to like this, just the weird start/stop broken arrangement doesn't do it for me?

@bud: thanks for the feedback mayne, definitely taking it onboard when/if i decide to polish this one! also wtf, where do you find the time to churn out 3/4 tracks a week EVERY week??

>beachness: really liking the disco feel, for once i'm not completely turned off by the vocals :D not sure about the pitchshifting after 2:00 though, actually i'm not sure if it's pitchshifting or if the vocals are clashing harmonically with your tune after that point -q-
>drei mal vier ist 8: i liked the idm-intro, then autotune started... in german... idk man, cant say much except i'm definitely not your target audience on this :D
>wicket you sounds: liking this a lot more, sick sound design, i feel it would work better with a snappier snare tho, maybe with a clap layered?
>nas benni: feeling this one, tho is it just me or is the snare panned to the right? it sounds weird on headphones, not sure about the vocals, wouldn't remove them altogether but i feel they would have more impact if they were more sparse, just bits here and there, instead of being continuous
>karl2: mixdown sounds a bit messier on this one, not sure if its intended, seems like your main rolling bass-synth is eating a lot of headroom. really liking the whole overly 80's vibe though, the melody that comes in at 1:08 sounds too simplistic tho i get the lazy 80's vibe but that might be too much imo, maybe just stick an arpegiator on it? really liking the way you messed with the vocals, nas benni should be more like that

also, (probably a stupid question but) is BLANC (idk how to make triangles) another of your aliases?

The choir-ish sample is off a pink floyd record : atom heart mother, in the middle of a half hour jam on the b-side, and the vocal sample is off a john lennon album, I'd have to look to see which one. I oviously went digging through my classic rock stash :D

I'll hopefully find time to listen to everyones tunes and drop my 2 cents, but I've been really busy seeing as I've randomly decided to move and start a new job this week.

no worries man, tbf, most of the feedback i give is probably highly subjective tho, so i'd say take it with a pinch of salt

sick stuff, that "Sorrow" track is awesome, wouldn't mind trying to remix it if thats cool with you :)

ah no your feedback is solid just generally speaking its tuff like when it gets into taste itself 8)

oh yeah def! haha had never thought you would pick that one but yeah maybe tell me which parts you want seperated in a pm otherwise i would make like group stems like drums, vocals, samplesetc

Me too, unless I feel like it's something people really won't know where it's from. Big artists lesser-known works I suppose.
