I was never the biggest dmz fan in the first place tbh. liked their stuff a lot but them and deep medi was not my favourite dubstep 'collective' always preferred the hessle, punch drunk, applepips, hotflush sounds. when they all stopped making dubstep i stopped bothering to keep up with the rest of the dubstep sound really apart from the odd silkie and quest bit.

Haven't bought a new dubstep record since objekt 001

and that wasn't really dubstep. it was just at 140bpm

I don't rate Akkord at all.

Yeah this. They're alright, don't particularly offend me, but people go crazy for them. Loved how they tried to keep up the mystery around them, when it was obvs Synkro & Indigo, even after they were on Boiler Room.

I can't stand Synkro but Indigo has some good stuff. Might explain why Akkord has always never bothered me hugely either way.

Synkro and indigo- guidance is

indigo's ayahuasca/the root is alright, even though it's dungeon dnb. other than that pretty unremarkable stuff (both of them)

I thought the Akkord album was alright, nothing too exciting. First listen was cool then it went downhill after multiple listens. It was well produced, and a little too polished for my tastes, but I guess that's what a lot of people dig about them.
Never really found Synkro all that interesting except for a few bits here and there, but Indigo has made some great stuff. His latest EP on Samurai is pretty cool, for example.

i saw akkords debut set when they supported objekt in manc. really enjoyed the set. i like their music. never bothered to buy any of the records tho

Anchorman 1/2 should just be renamed 'catchphrases for retards' and be done with it. Everyone knows what they're buying into then.

tbf, it's not the fault of the film, just the fans. Even comedy that strays as far away from catchphrases as possible will get catchphrased when they become popular enough (classic case, The Inbetweeners).

I love both of them individually but Akkord is kind of boring
