At how many % of your RMR were you eating before your bulk? If you were eating at 80%, you wanna eat at 90% first, then 100%, etc.
Now. I didn't do that because fuck that. But if it's too much food you probs should ease into it. It's the proper way of doing it anyway.
Eat at your maintenance first and check your progress on the scale. If you weigh less, then you're below your actual maintenance and then add another 10% to that, etc.

Yeah that's the thing. Just eat at your calculated maintenance and gauge how much more you gotta eat based on the number of the scale :0

Yeah tho while you can, at least for the first few weeks until you know what calories you gotta eat, check the scale daily on an empty stomach. If you have a 'morning dump' haha, do it after that dump but before breakfast. Waterweight fluctuates as it is. So if you gain 3 or 4 pounds in one week, which is def gonna be water, it may muddy up what's going on.
I'll do this for the next cycle cuz Ima up the calories to 3000 - 3100 soon. but it's so much guess work for me

Jesus! How much do you weigh?
Or do you have a very active job?

Well that's the thing, according to the scale I'm 150 lbs. Dunno (up from the 137 I had when I started), tho. I'm mainly doing it cuz I noticed a bit of a stalling in my growth the last 2 or 3 weeks. So I'm going from 2600 calories to 3000.
It's good though. I love eating.
I'm super sedetary hahaha. The only real exercise I get is the 2 times cardio I do per week and the 3 days of lifting I do.

Btw dude, do you use MyFitnessPal? Once you set custom macros that thing is THE SHIT. Wouldn't be tracking calories the way I am without it

Na, i've been writing it all down in a book with columns for Carbs, Protein, Fat, Calories and Meal Sub-Total.
I will look into that though, ta.

okay, so my back is completely fucked (lateral). I thought I only tweaked it and it seemed to come right but now I can hardly move without agonising pain. I'm guessing it's a torn muscle but I'll see a physio if it doesn't improve over the next day or two.
there goes my training. great.

Welcome to my world. I'm only (hopefully) coming out the other side of back issues now after seven months. Did my first RDL today since April - i'm now at 60% of my previous PB

Not sure. It seemed fine and I had full movement on Saturday, then woke up yesterday and the pain got worse as the day wore on.

Yeah. That's fluid slowly leaking out from a tear in a disc. Enjoy.

Aww mate, that sounds awful. Sorry to hear
Was this from deadlifting or another exercise? What weight were you pulling at the time?

I'm only fucking about btw.
But seriously, eat some ibuprofen.

I was deadlifting and felt my lower back stiffen up so I stopped after my first rep. Feeling frustrated I jumped on the lat pull down (close grip) and fired out a really heavy set (looking back, with really sloppy form). I felt great after that and moved onto a straight arm pull down (with a light weight and slightly bent over so I can get a bit of stretch along the middle of my back) and that's where I felt it ping a little. It didn't hurt, I just thought it felt weird and I left the gym straight away.
I've been smashing the ibuprofen but it doesn't seem to do much.

Get some Naproxen if at all possible. Obviously that isn't a cure but it'll help.
I genuinely hope it's just muscle problems. It doesn't sound like a disc but mine was around the L5/S1 area and your pain is from higher up so i'm wary about comparing the two.
