Hey, I'm Roj,
Not exactly new here... I was around about a year ago, but one day I found I was unable to log in, and it's been like that until a few days ago. Continued lurking, altough I'll probably start posting again now!
Few dubstep mixes around may be uploaded, but concentrating a little more on d&b at the moment.

Little bit late but here is :
I'm 25yo, french canadian from Québec city and I do mixes as hobbie. I've been mixing with softwares since 4 years and start last year (2008) mixing live with numark devices. I've mix over 75 albums ranging from house to trance and breaks to dnb. I starte listening to dubstep mainly last summer (this kind of music is hard to find in this part of the world) and fall in love with the more grimey and epic/progressive styles of dub. I'll try to do a dubstep mix per month with track that I'll found on this site.
Cheers

whats good
i am really new to the dub scene
i got my 1st dose of this like 2 months ago
i have found a few artists that i like
caspa,rusko,bar9 and a few others.
i have been producing music for like 8 years but i want to try to make dubstep, right now i am using flstudio 8xxl and ableton live light
but i intend on upgrading when i know what i should get. i have used the 600$ version of ableton live 8? i believe and the simpler plug in is fuckin great but i cant seem to use it on the light version
i learned how to use sytrus in fl today to make the wobble bass. can figure out how to set the different speeds for different parts of the song without adjusting them manualy after i press play.
also looking to buy a midi key controller axiom 25 is the only one in my budget right now though.
any help/ advice would be great

kl guys hows it going, I got into dubstep at the start of this year because basically, I love metal, and i love breakdowns cos they're halftimed and proper deep soundin...THEN i discovered this and thought that they had something in common so now im proper in to it these days.
I like stuff with proper good melodies n bass lines in it though, anyone got any recomendations?
nice one!

Hi, I lead a band in Washington DC that does improvisational dubstep and dnb influenced "jazz." We use alot of live sampling and looping techniques to weave together tapstries of sound. I play the basses and do most of the rhythm based sampling/looping and keep everything locked down tempo wise. We also feature a live drummer, sax, trumpet and keyboards. There will be more of our live dubstep stuff up on our myspace page over the next couple weeks. For now there is a sample of me doing a solo intro of one of our tunes featuring all live sampling (except the drums).

EZ all!
I've been on this forum for a while but havent really had the time to be a regular head. Im taking some time out of djing to get back into production so I figured id create a new account and step up my game on here.
Im from Kent (South East, just outside London) and have a couple of residencies playing dub, dnb and funky oldschool hip hop and have warmed up and down for some of the finest in the game! Im also a resident for a night called "dubbed out" (666) in Maidstone, Kent which is pretty much the biggest thing in Kent for dubstep right now!
Feel free to hit me up.

Hi everyone!
My name is Boeboe (real name Morscha) and i'm also new here on DSF
I'm from Lelystad in The Netherlands and i've been making beats now for about ten years, just about everything from pop music to breakcore. Recently i got infected with the dubstep virus and i've got it bad. I've only been listnening to dubstep for about 6 months now so my first question is: what producers can you recommend me? right now i'm really into: Rusko (of course), Excision, Bar 9, Coki, Benga.. to name a few.
My second request is some feedback to my beats, i would really like to know both what you DON'T and DO like about it (unless you absolutely hate it of course) So here's the first one i put on youtube (there will be more):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hm6iJzthYhw
I would appreciate it if the people that like the beat leave a comment on youtube also! Right now it's looking a bit dead with only one comment (from a friend)
I'm looking forward to spending my nightly hours on this forum
Peace out all you dubstep headz!

Hello chaps,
My names jimmy and i produce shitty 3rd rate dubstep under the moniker "particle" i was originally using garageband (yeah laugh it up) but recently got logic so maybe i might stop sucking soon and actually make something listenable once i work out how the fuck logic works.
Got into dubstep after my mate played me rubber chicken and since then i was hooked. My current fav producers are The Widdler, Joker, Loefah, Borgore and Reso. That said, i do like a lot of the more spaced out "chin-stroker" type stuff as well if I'm just chilling out, having a smoke.
my first love however is metal, really innovative, progressive but heavy as fuck death metal with hardcore bits thrown in for good measure (basically BTBAM and sikth etc...). I've been playing drums from the age of about 8 and am in a death metal band, which is mighty fun
im sure none of you give a fuck anyway
toodles x
