Hell yeah, that sucks though that there's not a big scene for it. Fortunately I grew up and live right next door to a skate shop, so it's a pretty big thing where I live.

Found some time to give feedback
JBE - I'm digging this a lot man. Got a little dragged out for me, but then that other synth came in at like 2 minutes. Very pleasing.
Bud - That first tune brought a smile to my face, pretty hard stuff. I felt like it could have used some more percussion in the background though. The second tune was pretty dope as well, nothing to really say for that one except I wish that sound at the end would have come in sooner. I already left a comment on your flip, but again, it was dope.
JizzMan - I'm diggin that tribal feel of the first track, but wish the 808's might have been a little busier. The second track has a nice dark vibe, I wish the snare would have been a bit louder, same with the vox sample. I went to check out your flip but it was unavailable
Noways - Diggin' the flip. The high synth was a little loud to me, but I was diggin' the melodies, especially in that mid section/breakdown type part. All one shot on the 404?

Shit man, I'm worried about my monitoring. On my krk's, dt 770's, phone, laptop, car stereo, that line isn't too sharp or shrill or loud to me at all I've heard it a few times now. Maybe my ears have finally crossed the line. In my early 20's I was diagnosed with some pretty serious hearing loss, but maybe now I'm deaf!
The drums and flap song were done on the sp, all cut up, processed and played on the 404, synths, bass and lead, were vst's and were played and recorded on the computer, then I recorded the sp stuff to the comp, and mixed it all there.

Could just be me. Could be my headphones. I went back and listened to it just on my laptop speakers and it doesn't sound as loud. Also, it's worth noting that my mixdown skills are quite shit. I also think I have more sensitive ears to higher frequencies than others, because I find myself saying "That's too loud" a lot with sounds that have a lot of high frequency content, whether it be in my tracks or other peoples.

Old man syndrome, I feel you bro. I like my shit nice and dark, not feeling getting my ear canals filled with shards of glass. What kind of headphones are you using? It seems like AKGs or even my AT M50s really push too much HF for me to enjoy. My Sennheisers though, mmm like butter.

That might explain it. I'm on ATH M50's at the moment. I want to get some AKG 702's though.

Yeah the M50s have a big bump in the highs, sounds really plasticy to me. I never liked the sound of them but they usually force me to make good mix decisions. They basically won't let you have something sticking out too much because your ear drums will feel like they're being punctured. Sorta like that critical friend who is an ass but always has valid criticism.
If you're sensitive to HF, I'd check out some other headphones before pulling the trigger on some K702s.
