Killer Joe. 7, maybe 8, out of 10. Really dark and funny, that Ansel character is amazing, but it goes properly mental.

Captain America, both of them b2b. enjoyed the first a lot more.

yeah I like the tone of Captain America films
a little subversive with 1917 values re militarization
plus the wry humour

Still Life
surprised me at end
had a tear in me eye
loved the minimal story
if only all us humans were so selfless
then life would be stiller
but there'd be fewer psychopaths causing damage

dunno about a can of catfood and a slice of bread for dinner tho

watched 'enemy' and was expecting a lot since the same guy made prisoners- but it wasn' very good despite having some really interesting bits..

It was sort of a ripoff of this film- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082933/
but badly done..

Really good and really grim

I do wonder tho:
[+] Spoiler
The apparently friendly "good guys" family the boy meets at the end says "We've been following you". That stuck out to me, because several other times when the man and the boy confront scavengers/raiders the man demandingly shouts "Why are you following us?" at them, even though it doesn't really make sense. I think he maybe even says something to the effect that somebody is following them when they hear the dog sniffing around above them in the bunker. There was nothing to really indicate the black guy who takes their wagon, or the couple with the bow&arrow in the window, were following the man and the boy, they just came across them and wanted to rob them. Both times, the scavengers reject that they were following the man and the boy. The wagon-robber says "I wasn't following you man" or something, and the bow-lady says "I wasn't following you, you were following us!". I googled a bit this morning but didn't find anything about that pattern. Maybe it just speaks to everyone's paranoia in that world or something. But I just thought it was weird and sinister that the man essentially always is afraid of being tracked, and then the family at the end explicitly says they were tracking the pair.

Isn't it just the nature of a premise like that. Like not having food/rations would make people either hunters or gatherers/hunted in principle and then the film plays on paranoia at the same time.. hmm

I usually love stuff like that but it didn't sit with me. It was almost like it was a satire in how bleak and inhuman everything was. But it's awesome at the same time and great to see other people than Trier 'succesfully' walking around in Tarkovsky territory.

Really ? I found the second infinitely better than the first one. None of that supernatural shit, proper Metal Gear Solid-style script. And a good use of the 21st century security policies in a fiction work. And the Winter Soldier is so much more stylish than Red Skull. And Redford's classy as fuck.

Yeah Redford was awesome, I must admit. I felt Black Widow was mostly unnecessary for a lot of scenes, Maria Hill didn't stand out much either. I felt they should of fleshed out The Winter Soldiers abilities/past experiences more but I guess there will be more of that in the third film. I really like the CA back story too so I'm more drawn to the first.

Really good. Slow pace, but I've rarely seen two old characters as relatable as the father and mother. Good cameo from Bob Odenkirk (Saul) too.

Not really a cameo if I remember correctly. He plays Forte's brother right?
Loved it as well. I tend to make a few stills in movies like that and I made at least 20 throughout

Odenkirk is super consistent btw. Haven't even seen Derek & Simon and the Tenacious D stuff..
but Breaking Bad, Curb, Mr. Show.. all good.
