i didn't mention amelie, american beauty, groundhog day, airplane, rear window, birds, little miss sunshine, rabid, solaris, rosemarys baby, glengarry glen ross etc because they are great but not epic
rose's bebe is nuts!

"Hail satan, hail satan!"

oooooookkkkkkay there
Apparently my Dad took my Mum to see Rosemary's Baby on one of their first dates... she turned up expecting some sort of heartwarming drama about motherhood and ended up having to sit through just about the only horror movie she's ever watched! Good skills, Dad!

maybe it's why you're here?

she got scared and then they made you....

LOL that's a very interesting strategy used by the old man right there...but works quite a bit.

Get em scared....then they need "protection" and "comforting"...

Katyn

or

Braveheart. .. even though it is historically inaccurate it is still a very emotive film.

For the sake of argument:
wikiality wrote:An epic is a genre of film which places emphasis on human drama on a grand scale. They are more ambitious in scope than other genres which helps to differentiate them from similar genres such as the period piece or adventure film. This often entails high production values, a sweeping musical score by an acclaimed film composer, and an ensemble cast of bankable stars, placing them among the most expensive of films to produce. The genre likely derives its name from the similarities it shares with epic poetry.
That said, I must add this:
