I don't really get this, is it the shortness of his tunes that makes it a fail?herbalicious wrote:Redeye was 33.phlux wrote:-dubson- wrote:

But, yeah I agree. I just want more tunes for my money coz i'm greedy.
33 doesn't make them short it just means it takes up less space on the record, not many people like 33 because the quality isn't quite as good as 45, it's more quiet and some people find it harder to mix because they're used to 45handbanana wrote:I don't really get this, is it the shortness of his tunes that makes it a fail?herbalicious wrote:Redeye was 33.phlux wrote:-dubson- wrote:

Yea sorry, I meant the generally short time most of his own releases run at.Hibbie wrote:33 doesn't make them short it just means it takes up less space on the record, not many people like 33 because the quality isn't quite as good as 45, it's more quiet and some people find it harder to mix because they're used to 45handbanana wrote:I don't really get this, is it the shortness of his tunes that makes it a fail?herbalicious wrote:Redeye was 33.phlux wrote:-dubson- wrote:

Fuck fuck fuck. Missed two of these, caught the N-Type 27th Jul show though, where the Hay tune was unveiled. Anyone have links to the other two times he's been on?macgregor wrote: He's been on Radio three times this past week
He was on BBC Radio 1 with Appleblim, Mad Professor and Adrian Sherwood doing a dub vs dubstep show (where he mentioned not having a myspace or a facebook, maybe cogs started turning after that). Download link is in this thread:flybitter99 wrote:Fuck fuck fuck. Missed two of these, caught the N-Type 27th Jul show though, where the Hay tune was unveiled. Like you say as well macgregor, having finally created a myspace page is surely a give away that something big is coming

The other time was the N-Type Rinse show from the 20th of July, podcast will be on Rinse website.

nah, we were just hoping for more tunes on the recs! really the only people who can tell a difference between 33 and 45 are people who never use 33... people who play music outside of EDM use 33's all the time and just turn the gain up, it's easy as pie. but you know how dsf is....Hibbie wrote:Yea sorry, I meant the generally short time most of his own releases run at.handbanana wrote:33 doesn't make them short it just means it takes up less space on the record, not many people like 33 because the quality isn't quite as good as 45, it's more quiet and some people find it harder to mix because they're used to 45herbalicious wrote:I don't really get this, is it the shortness of his tunes that makes it a fail?phlux wrote:-dubson- wrote:

I was aware of all those reasons, except for the quietness, which is interesting... But is there something about Coki's tunes in particular that everyone is worried about being at 33, aside from the usual mixability?
Any link for that rinse podcast for the 20th ? Not up on rinse. N-Type's podcast on the 27th was with coki aswell if I remember right.cosmic surgeon wrote:He was on BBC Radio 1 with Appleblim, Mad Professor and Adrian Sherwood doing a dub vs dubstep show (where he mentioned not having a myspace or a facebook, maybe cogs started turning after that).
