I don't think most dance oriented artists make it big on their best material, they make it big on whatever has the broadest appeal.
Yeah but what do you mean 'by best material'? the tunes you like? lol some would say wut and everytime is better then the minimalistic and simple IRL tunes. i have not heard IRL properly though really but they seem like standard minimal tunes that many artist do and never really get anywhere.

to all those who don't like (fucking hate the term "hate/hatin/hater/etc") the new girl unit EP...

IMO it's very joker-esque... especially the song "showstoppa." do yall like joker?

Good call really. I like Joker but I don't think I like his stuff as much as a lot of people around here much the same as Girls Unit. Ill take it or leave it tbh. I have the Kryptic Minds cd stuck in my truck. 2005 ftw lul.

So much this after having listened to the EP a thousand times, although I love the euphoric vibes Wut has.

it does sound jokerish. even starkeyish. i think 'showstoppa' is the strongest tune on the ep actually.

but still, irl still kills this release as far as i'm concerned.

besides, similarities between this release and joker's music (and as some have suggested, some of timbaland's music) doesn't automatically mean i'm gonna be all over it. and there are very few artists in general (i'm talking all of music here, not just dubstep/bass music/edm) who i like 100% of all their tunes.

should go w/o saying really :)

i also find the timbaland comparison's interesting...yall actually thought of timbaland when you heard this release? interesting indeed...

thats actually what i was implying. early timbaland is on another platform compared to this imo.

imo, this follows timbo's lead in the same way that mike slott, hudmo and rustie followed dilla's lead

not saying it sounds exactly the same, just saying it has roots in the sound

ya know?

that vid pretty much sums it up for me.

would rather put on sparrow/mala/k.minds album and rock furiously in my chair without feeling the need to video myself doing so...
