We're attempting to write 14 songs in the 28 days of February.

so how has everyone been doing for their first day? for me I got somewhat of a foundation for 2 tracks but nothing finished yet

Not had the chance to do any work today as I've been helping out my Gran all day, but; found out she used to look after the Film Score Composer Harry Gregson-Williams (Most famous for his work on the Metal Gear series) when she was a matron at a local Private school in the 70's, and considering I love his work and it'd be my dream to compose Film/Computer game Scores, I'm gonna get bang on this now

Just finished my first track. Gonna try and get something down for a second one today too so I'm a bit ahead of where I need to be cos I know things will get in the way some days..

EDIT: Dunno if we are mena be posting our tracks in here to share so I won't drop a link but if anyone's interested in hearing the one I've got done it's uploaded to my soundcloud and also linked to my FAWM account.

I have a basic drum loop down for one song, and have some significant work done on a 1st song. See if I can bang the rest of that out tonight and get it posted. I got the day off because of that giant winter storm. Currently running my car's defrost so it doesn't end up w/ two inches of ice on it by morning :/

Got three tracks done so far with another one halfway done and also got a DnB track in the works but I just can't seem to get the drums sounding right.

The Universe suddenly conspired this morning to fill every part of my day with literally NO moment to sit down at my DAW… I swear somehow I’m going to have 14 tunes by the end, but so far it’s not looking good...

Just finished my first track... I scrapped my original concept and went for a stereo typical moody album.

pretty much finished 1, need to work on the mixdown, few ideas for some more but even though I'm expecting the standard to drop considering the time frame we have, I find it really hard to push on making something that wouldnt usually make the cut, need to feed my pc with more samples and plugs I reckon! Hoping to get another one down tonight, although I'll probably find myself making about 16 bars before restarting something completely different about 4 or 5 times, like I did last night....

LOL. I've come to realise I like to work at a snail's pace. Only got drums down on my first track, and I'm now looking for a nice soul sample or something.

Got my second track up today and working on a third. Feeling a bit bleurgh though as the second track I'm not that happy with and this third one is sounding shiiiite. The first one I was REALLY happy with though

3za that's a quality track.

Finished my first one today, on a Funky/Kuduro/House flex at 135, started another one and got a third one done but need to add vocals into it now...starting another one over the weekend too!!

Likin the challenge of this

I've got 4 done now.
