I'm 19 so I don't really feel old yet, although this thread really makes me think about how fucking fast life passes by... It's like, it doesn't feel like I've been here for 19 years..
And I do get nostalgic from time to time when I think about old video games I used to play as a little kid, old cartoons, old disney movies, ... And not to forget the hours I spent in my fort made out of carton boxes in the kitchen, rinsing thunderdome mixtapes and all that.

- Fights! School fights, club fights, girl fights, going to another school to fight. I remember being in the biggest racial brawl in school which consisted of 20 students. I was also suspended due to another fight. A white girl had the nerve to call me a fob bitch, I think mainly cos she can. She was triple my weight/double my height. I jumped her in front of the library while I was on break from choir practice. I was pissed off of the fact that I couldn't hit the notes because I was in rage mode. So, I settled it once and for all. How I turned into a very detached, solitude-loving nurse, is something I could explain in detail but not up for it.

- Hitting on boys at the mall and seeing who gets the most numbers! I agree, this was ghetto! I never won, I was picky.
- Blood In, Blood Out movie.
- When I turned 18, it was mostly hotel parties. I remember when friends and I got a night at Camlin Hotel in Downtown Seattle, paid $300 for the night. Within two hours we were kicked out because everyone was drunk and the boys were running up and down the hallway naked . Also driving to Vancouver, Canada to drink and snowboard at Whistler!

also that i never played warcraft 3 or WoW but i played warcraft 1 on DOS and warcraft 2 online, which was incredible

He's got a point, in fairness.

I was as much a Tarantino fanboy as anyone when I was a media student at college, but in hindsight Pulp Fiction is just pop art. Stylised pop art, like a series of mini featurettes strung together with loose narrative. Very pretty to look at, well executed, etc etc, but at the end of the day it's a bunch of pop art set pieces juxtaposed with each other.

Jackie Brown is way better IMO.

I am a huge Reservoir Dogs fan personally.

one thing which has influenced me greatly was tarantino speaking in a past interview giving advice to people who were interesting in film. he said that if you are really interested in film, don't spend your money on an NYU film degree, if you are interested in film. just go buy a video camera and start recording. that same mentality can be applied to so many things outside of film.
