I did quite a spectacular fuck up thh other night

Long story short: go out as a group, I come back with said girl and another female friend. End up doing nitrous together on her bed. Female friend falls asleep drunk, said girl and I get a bit touchy feel. She leads me into another room, that I presume belonged to a flatmate, got into bed and asked me to join her... what did I say? "We can't fuck when in your best friends' friends bed!" - meaning we should do it somewhere else (I know?!), but by which point she's sort of offended and tells me to go back into the other bed.

not about being the gallant gent in those situations, years ago was out with a girl i'd fancied for ages, went back to hers- she was really drunk and I pretty much had to carry her to her bed where she wanted me to join her, then I told her that she was too drunk and I should go home.....she just looked really embarresed and felt like I'd made her feel like some dirty slapper, I never got a second chance. I felt like a right self-rightious dickhead, would have been a lot less embarrasing and hurtful to her if i'd just gone for it.....ah well, all learning process- haven't made that mistake again!

So my friend I posted about on the 3rd page before ended up confessing her feelings toward me, and they were way deeper than I anticipated. She didn't use the L word, but might as well have. I have no complaints and we are now more than friends. Would like it to get more serious too. So yeah I read it right, good thing too because I would have hated ruining the friendship. Now it's even better.

Anyway, here's my current predicament. I started uni just over a month ago and things are great; feeling genuinely happy and in general life is good. In my psychology class and English class (also in my tutorials) there is this girl. She's tall, about my height - 5'9" ish - and kind of slim. She has short but really stylish hair, dark brown with stunning eyes. She initiated conversation with me first in our first psychology tutorial - which is significantly smaller than the lecture class - and since then we always look to sit together in the main lecture theatre of around 300 students, cute right? I'm at the stage now where I feel confident enough to ask her if she'd like to go out at the weekend because we both seem to be into the same things as far as music and clubs go. One thing that I reckon is holding me back is my appearance. Im not the slimmest of dudes but I have lost a bit of weight recently thanks to having my body fucked by Outlook festival and eating less and more healthily since moving to uni. She is gorgeous, with a great personality but I don't know if she wants to be more than friends and how I find out... I'm still trying to get her number.

Sounds like the thing holding you back is your own perception of your appearance, if she's hanging out with you in classes she can't think that badly of you mate. If you want her number, ask for it. Seeing as you share a similar vibe music-wise, suggest that you get some friends together and go out, you'll have a blast.
