Has anyone bought Ellipsis and ripped to mp3 yet?

If so could you do me a favour please and send me the mp3 version? I have the vinyl but my Serato is playing funny buggers and won't record from vinyl for some reason.

I am happy to take a picture of me with the vinyl if you want assurances I am not just after a free copy

Mine finally arrived today. Not warped at all. In fact it sounds great. So nice to hear the tune in full.

And I don't like the Head High remix either. Doesn't do anything for me.

we were told at Chemical that there was a hold-up with sleeves, so stock would be coming some time in July.


re: warping records - these things can't be helped, particularly in summer. We had a load of copies of Percy in stock and they were fine. Don't forget that records have to be sent through postal services, sometimes sitting in hot vans/depots with lots of packages sat on top of them. It's not the fault of the pressing plant, label or shop that a record arrives warped.

Frankly, unless the needle literally cannot track a groove, then who cares about the odd warp? When I started buying records that wouldn't stop me at all, you just cue carefully. Nowadays I see people making out they're so f*cking hard done by if their vinyl isn't completely flat - it's a flawed physical medium, put up with the odd imperfection!!

i figured that it was something that's somewhat out of control, but if that is the case, then why cancel all those orders?

If i pay +- 10 pounds for a record, i prefer it to be in a good condition, it will arrive someday and i'll be happy anyways!

To be honest if i'm paying for a vinyl with money that i worked my arse off for (Especially stupidly overpriced ones like Ellipsis/Percy) then i expect nothing but how it's supposed to be. Same goes with anything else i spend my money on

i would SO MUCH rather have a warped disc than the other weird discs.

like the underground resistance release that has the two different grooves on one side. it is very DIFFICULT for me to know which of the songs is which song.

and also the omar-s discs that play from the inside out and i GET so much confused for the first 15 seconds if i forget

warp on the disc can be fixed if the disc is LAID flat under the heavier books
