Sukh is a legend, but I wouldn't class his music as Purple.

Can't forget 2000f & Jkamata. They're the originators.

Flash Back is defiantly New Jack Swing influenced/sampled. I love New Jack Swing, never heard it used in Dubstep before. Sounds sick.

Edit: Glass Swords had to get purchased!

oh yeh

Hands down, my favorite 'sound' under the dubstep genre... It just has so much to offer; huge basslines, amazing synths that usually carry the track, and hard-hitting drums. It's a sound that is really hard to put into words because it's still evolving, yet the quality of production is quite consistent between producers like Joker, Gemmy, Guido, Ginz, L-Wiz, Mensah, Rustie, Baobinga, Starkey, Swindle and some 501, Stinkahbell, Silkie and Benga, and the list goes on...

Under-rated sound... I'll have to check some of those artists out, but ofcourse Joker/Gemmy/Ginz the classic purple sound.

Effing love this sound, can't get enough of it at the moment honestly...the Ill-Esha/Antiserum/12th Planet Dub Police release was pretty purple, also Kito & Reija Lee- Sweet Talk, and they're remix of Spor's "Pacifica" was hot too

Sooooo true. I never really thought of that track as purple...but now I guess I can see the comparison. Such a great tune!

Crazy you mention that. I got Silkie's City Limits V.1 album on iTunes a moment ago and was playing this track when I opened the thread.

I like Beauty.
Beauty is by far my favorite dubstep tune of all time. Such a beautiful tune. I personally think Heny G is also a HUGE player in the "purple" sounds. Plus I love heny G and anti social way more than joker and all the Bristol cats.

Post up some Heny G that you think fits the bill; I haven't heard much from him.

More purple goodness:

Just youtube anything from him, hes amazing and so soulful. Please look into him, you won't regret it. His purple sound is much more laid back and vibish with some songs being over 8 minutes long, definitely one of my top 3 dubstep artists. Check these tracks out, these are just random ones.

ENJOY!

Yeah, I'd definitely heard that first tune before. His style reminds me of Silkie's; kind of laid back, jazzy vibes. I like :W:

I forgot all about NastyNasty... This tune is massive, and free:

Some other huge purple tunes:
