u r mad blud. It had a couple weaknesses (a clip at the end, comedically bad ADR in the opening scene), but it's a great film, I don't believe that you believe it's shit
Bane's accent was not only funny as shit (which i dont think was ment to be) the sound effects dude made him inaudible for the best part of the film, also catwomen was a shit character, shitty one liners, same ending as inception, dream or not a dream? you know. Was way to dragged on.Just seemed like they developed the script as they where filming it. was pretty gutted with it in all honestly, expected something a lot more.
I'm gonna have to disagree, Catwoman pretty much stole the show, she owned that role, every line she said was executed perfectly. I think what happened at the end was clear as day.
catwoman was terrible. anne hathaway is absolutely gorgeous but her role as catwoman was just sad. i would blame the writing however, not her acting... i respect her more as an actress thinking back. the one-liners were really something i thought nolan would be above, the cheese was laid on pretty thick. it was just inexcusable. i cant remember the line she said before kissing batman before he went off to go try to commandeer the nuclear weapon, but she said something about being a sucker about something and then promptly kissed batman with a dramatic cut from the director of photography.. anyway i pretty much gave up on the movie then if not before when bane died the way he did. you would expect writing like that in a movie such as "how to lose a guy in 10 days".
aye, that was terrible. iirc correctly the line was "well then i guess we're both suckers". definitely a cringe moment

You know it's a comic book movie right, not The Tempest? Sure, Nolan sets high standards for himself, but he makes action movies - this was an extremely enjoyable big budget popcorn movie for the whole family, it's not supposed to be challenging Citizen Kane for screenplay of the Millennium! It's.... BATMAN.

I thought that also, but like Scope13 said, dont think it was directly at occupy. It very much suggested that without 'the system' there would be no order. People don't like the system, but when it's gone they realize how much they need it.

loved the first two. because they were both gritty and raw, much like comics these days steering away from the cheesy one-liners. this unfortunately had that. im not making it out to be more than it is, that's for sure. im only judging the movie based off nolan's history of directing.

I always think you've got to go into big licenses like this expecting the worst so you can be pleasantly surprised, no matter who's involved - they've got to hit so many demographics and cram in so many marketing spots that the chance of making a stinker is always pretty high. The film wouldn't get financed if the Director wasn't prepared to "take advice" on a whole lot of the creative decisions.

The first two in this series were great, but a lot because I was ready for Batman & Robin quality when I went to see the first... the second Nolan one's awesome, though I reckon Heath Ledger's death gave it a lot of subconscious appeal (his Joker is amazing though)... but yeah, compare DKR to the last Superman movie, the 3rd Spiderman, most of the older Batman movies that aren't Batman Returns... even the X Men movies... and it comes out pretty damn well!

its a coherent trilogy and works well. i wasnt feeling the dark knight rises, however i get that it is sick. i think some of the characters lacked magic, and had too much of a human element to it. i liked the joker because he was psychotic, he lacked compassion and was almost non human, and the scarecrow was mental because of the drug element. however, bane is just a big man who sounds like alan moore's V and catwoman is an unexplained hot woman who is a bit of a bitch.

good film though.

I don't think there will be another villain-type character played with such force and verve when it comes to Heath Ledger's the Joker. He stole the show in the film and took it to that next level. The major difference between the Joker and Bane, I feel, is that Joker was more enigmatic and way more random and crazed in his acts of violence. I also love the way he got really stuck into the dirty business - the scene where the joker dresses up as a nurse and blows up the hospital will always be burned into my memory.
Bane just didn't have this feeling to him, everything he did felt preconceived and planned thoroughly, whereas you never really knew what Joker was going to do. I also hated the way they completely undermined him as the strongest adversary Batman has faced by making him underling to some stupid plot-twist bitch. They should've left out the Raz-al-ghoul nonsense. The moment that Bane was no longer the main man was the same moment I felt that there was no real imperative danger. I also felt they ruined the film by making the stakes too high too early. By introducing the bomb to annihilate the city so early they set the bar of tension to high and the film couldn't carry that aspect of "omg what if it goes off" all the way through to the end. In another way, this is where Batman 2 is far superior. Joker raises the stakes little by little and turns it into more of a game as he does more and more crazy shit. I just felt once that Stadium explosion went off, there was nothing else to really happen other than for batman to come back and save the day, which is basically all that happened for the next 40 minutes to an hour as we waited for batman to get better so he could escape.
I think Bane was a great character, and as a physically dominant presence, he was SO asking for a fight-to-the-death type of screen. I would've loved it if he and Bane for example had battled all the way up to the top floor of the highest building in Gotham only for batman to kinda suicide divebomb them both off the edge together as the whole city watched on......

ah well, I can only dream.

So did anything else happen after Alfred looks up in the restaurant and, I assume, sees Bruce and Selina?

not really, the policeman finds the batcave though (which was surprisingly easy for him to do, how nobody else has stumbled across it I can't imagine) and the story-arc makes it fairly clear he is going to "take on the mantle" so to speak.

The policeman is Robin, and he was given coordinates for the cave!

but they showed him in the bat literally second before detonation... the bomb supposedly had a 6 mile blast radius, you'd need quuuuuite a bit of time to get away from that. I don't get why he';d have done it if the auto pilot was fixed though. But I cant see any possible way he'd have survived

Even.more reason I'm pissed. Azraiel was.a cop not Robin!

Anywho if Knightfall becomes a movie there can be any number of awesome.villains

Actually abattoir and poison I y would be my number one.guess

Nnightfall also has the riddler on the.venom drug and mad hatter. Either one.of those could yield a joker like performance

why are ignoring the hints the film gives. Heck, they aren't even hints, they are just outright statements he is still alive
1) Fox didn't know Batman had fixed the autopilot months before. The massive hint being that Batman did not pilot up to detnation point.
2) He's in the fucking cafe
3) Catwoman is in the fucking Cafe
4) Alfred and Bruce Wayne nod to each other as if to say "so the plan comes full circle" - theres absolutely no fucking way that this was anybody but Bruce Wayne. Absolutely no way.

I'm sorry but he's 100% alive, just he's moved on and changed his identity, because Gotham had nothing but pain for him. I mean really, the whole film is dropping hints towards Batman's retirement then it shows him actually enjoying this retirement and you still think he's dead?
wuuuuuut?
