Whaaaaaaaaaat only like 2 or 3 tracks I can think of that weren't as good and could have easily been replaced by Aeroplane Flies High tracks.. wouldn't say it shoulda been a single album though. Such diversity on that album, really inspired me.

OH THAT REMINDS ME THOUGH, the new M83 album is overrated as fuck, they are huge now and all the tunes are all over commercials and stuff, but most of the songs suck. THAT could have easily been a single album. So many crappy 80's rip off songs, come on.
What ever happened to this:
(Yeah, I know Nicolas left thus the change in sound, incase there is anyone on here who gives a damn about M83 )

i thought their earlier shit was way better than the relatively tacky Saturdays = Youth but i haven't bothered with any work after that.

meh i would probably take 7 or 8 tracks off the first and maybe 5 or 6 off the second and whack em together, but then my attention span always did leave a little to be desired.

I don't like your tone. I'd say Outkast's early work is underrated. Maybe the Love Below is overrated.
early albums id say are underrated but everything post stankonia including stankonia is overrated
i feel like theyre a good group, but ppl review them as if theyre gods and theyre 2nd tier imo

S=Y would have been better had they not kept on with the 80's thing. I was under the impression the new album would be different stuff, cuz I heard Midnight City (the single) before the full album came out and was so excited for the album. I get it in the mail, put it in, and after a few really good tracks.. more 80's stuff.. really cliche 80's stuff.. like come on. They did the 80's album, move on.
You should check out Team Ghost though (http://soundcloud.com/TeamGhost), M83 used to be a 2 piece with Nicolas and Anthony, Nicolas left after the 2nd album (also their best IMO), he's doing Team Ghost now while Anthony is on the shitty 80's binge. Their tracks are kinda varied but over all I'm liking it, anticipating their first full length album. Not really electronica though, more rock with electronic elements.

I really didn't like half of Stankonia as a kid, but as I've gotten older its aged well. They could have left a couple songs/skits out and I wouldn't miss them, but oh well.
well, i didn't really notice any hype around the album itself. the few really good songs on it really compensate for everything else imo.

more to add soon.
god i might get a lot of shit for this. i hate a lot of music but i also like a lot of music

The thing with Marley is since his death he has become such a "Legend" and there are so many people who go on about him like they are his biggest fan but really can only name his greatest hits.
Personally I think his music is fantastic and deserves all the praise it gets but the persona of Bob Marley has been blown way way out of proportion to the point where it's ridicolous!
*edit* I'm also quite fond of Gorillaz

I should stay away from this thread but I thought I'd share this
In this threads previous incarnation Fractal (I think I may be wrong) posted this it's fucking wonderful and shows what Bob Marley can do when not having to perform for 10,000's

zero 7 - simple things
Groove armada - vertigo
I bought both but certainly wouldn't call them classics

This is indeed a classic and IMO sorely underrated...one of my favourite albums of all time, got me through a dark period during my second year of Uni.
