Just to clear things up;

Pharmacies now have a smoking cessation scheme. You go in once a week and get free NRT products. Halfway through the course, they conduct a breath test to make sure you are actually quitting.

I reread the op and I couldn't even tell Wtf I was asking haha

Edit: and you're literally too stupid to smoke weed either way, so don't bother.
was that insult aimed at me? because if so it was rather unwarranted. if it wasnt nevermind :4:

When I say smoking, I mean tobacco, unless otherwise stated.

I just want to know if smoking weed will fail the CO test.

well - it wasn't a new-years resolution. and i've been told to my self that won't force my self to not smoke if someone bids me a cig i would not say no. so far i did well. i didn't smoke since 3 weeks my best friend gave me a cig a week ago so he don't smoke alone. and i don't feel the need to smoke anymore. i only sense the moments when i usually would smoke (after eating, waiting, while drinking a beer with my mates, when i get angry). but i have to admit, it was nice and way easyer than i expected.

in the meantime my parents were at theyr vacation. And my father brought me a present.... 10 packs of my cigarette brand -.-
i know, he meant it good and wanted to make me smile, so i took it to not disappoint him. now i have a 10pack cigs lying around on my table and it makes me wana smoke again (it's because i allways have them around me).

damn!

I'm going to make this short because I know time is short when your will might not be good enough to keep you away (smokers subconscious)

Helps with a partner, but my/our quitting plan goes like this:

3hrs inbetween cig's (or whatever you feel comfortable starting out with.

to

3 and 1/2 hours or 4 hours inbetween cigs when you are ready. The reason why I say this is because I feel quitting plans are failed the most when their are strict time limits to them.

to

5hrs

to 6hrs

to 7hrs

etc.

It has been successful so far with us. We are at 9hrs and we are already starting to cough up the nasty shit from our lungs and the cold-like symptoms that come with quitting.

Good Luck!

He's already stopped for 3 weeks. So stop telling him to start again, besides which, cutting down is a pussy-ass move: Quit outright or gtfo.

@op, look at pictures of smokers lungs and just never forget all the shitty things about being a smoker. Think of being an old man and coughing ur guts up like a diseased puke monster. The list is long...

You can get nicorette gum for free. I quit for 3 weeks and still felt the pangs so i got the weakest gum and ate them half at a time. I quit now for 4 months(no gum neither).

obvious solution is get rid of them. Sell them, if you can't sell them throw them away. If you can throw away that many cigarettes you're definitely on your way to quitting

it does indeed and is something I'd be recommending to anyone having issues giving up smoking

i'd recommend e-cig too.
better harmless water vapour + your nicotine fix, than hundreds of poison chemicals and additives burning white-hot tar into your lungs
then you can wean yourself off with lower and lower concentrations of nicotine until you kick the addiction

plus u can smoke them anywhere and they look kinda cool

I'm not telling him to start again, if you knew how most smokers operate, you would know 3 weeks isn't shit for cold turkey. Iv'e seen kids up to adults go half a year to a year and a half and still end up relapsing. (No offense op, just saying that if you ended up starting again)

Tbh the way how you talk about quitting makes it sound like you only smoked for a few years, or you only ever got up to a few cigs a day. Try smoking every 15 minutes every day for 5-6 years , then talk about how easy cold turkey is. Besides, quitting isn't easy for everyone, and the whole "look at diseased lung's" rarely works. If something that easy worked, I wouldn't see how someone could even start.

E-cigs don't work the way they say they do. Yes they do have nicotine in them, and give a smoke like effect with vapor, but after a while your body actually starts to crave the plant matter. Plus you never know when you have had a full smoke, so you end up consuming the equivalent of 5 cigs when you normally would have ended up smoking one.

This isn't my experience. When you smoke a cigarette you smoke the entire thing despite the actual nicotine craving being sated after 3 tokes. It's massively wasteful, the e-cig allows you to just take the amount of nicotine you need and that's it really.

You wont see people very often, if at all, toking on an e-cig for the 20 tokes or w/e it takes to smoke a cigarette.
